As much of a fans as I have been I always thought this press box was way too much overkill. WOS is a small 4A school borderline 3A. The crowds just aren’t there like they were in the 80s. I see no reason for a press box as elaborate as this one.

Anyone concerned about making the team make that trip to Dallas then play a game all in the same day? Seems like heading up there today and spending the night would be better.

I can agree with your first paragraph, but when CT a took over as HC he didn’t try and change everything that had worked for 3 decades. Also the ones after him weren’t after him because of his coaching abilities or football decisions.

I want to make the trip from Orange up there but not sure if it will work out, may have to watch at home. Either way this Mustang will be pulling for you! I’ve always had tons of respect and admiration for PN-G. The history, the culture, the die hard fanatic fans, it’s everything that Texas high school football should be. Is it just me or does the season seem to go by way too fast? It seems like just a few weeks ago it was early August and practice was just starting. We got one more week then a long 8 month off season. Time needs to slow down.

This was a post I posted on the book of faces today in 2018. This was the year after the 4 year state run. It popped up on my timeline today. Thought I’d share it here. “The Mustangs won’t go far in the playoffs, they said. They don’t have the talent and athletes like in years past , they said. They are having a down year, they said. See, they lost 4 regular season games they said. Well, well, but now here they are going to the 4th round and still playing football in December. Never underestimate the heart, grit and determination of the Mustangs.”
