1.
North Shore WAS probably the biggest team we've seen...
WAS!!!FB HIGHTOWER comes in with a bunch of guys that look like Hightower from Police Academy! ;D
2. 19 4A's top team gives up 29 and struggles to beat 20 4A's #3. WOW! I am finally starting to see the light! 19 4A is so much better  ::) How Crosby ever beat Dayton and BH is beyond me.
3. 24 turnovers against HT....OUCH.  :o
4. Great job ladies. Once again another good game with you gals. You really hit the ball well against us. We like to think we got you gals going for the day! ;D I wish we would have stuck around a little while to see Mikey's bombs. Congrats on what looks to be the begining of a great year.
5. Hooks is going nowhere anytime soon. This group was mostly underclassmen and his freshman group are big time. He will stick around at least 3 more seasons.
6.
Stevieray I'm w/you what's the deal?I did not see La Marque,TX City,Friendswood,Bay City,PNG,Garland,Odessa Permian,Plano and many more.
That list was ACTIVE consecutive playoff appearances. All of the teams you mentioned have missed the playoffs in recent years at som point.
7. A lot of people going to HS football games Friday night. The PNG faithful will be in Baytown and a lot of the Beaumont crowd will be at the Babe! Could be a small crowd. I will be there Monday, but I did give my ticks away so someone will be there in my place!
8. One of these yeahhoos can't even follow his own bracket! Jerry Forrest picked Lake Dallas to beat Aledo in the quarters, but then had Aledo winning it all in DII. Go figure.
9. Funny stuff there! ;D They have Denton Guyer ranked one spot ahead of the Denton Ryan team that pasted them last week 50-29. Both have identical 9-1 records.
10. I don't think Faircloth didn't want to flip home and home because of the lack of field turf at BH...I am positive it was the lack of seating!
11.
It's only Monday and Saturday can't get here quickly enough!  Welcome to the playoffs Vidor; I hear it's been awhile.  You've seen the spread offense from PNG and Nederland but my guess is you haven't seen a 3-4 defense this season.  Gonna be coming at you from all angles Saturday
Actually they have seen a 3-4 this season...PNG. Vidor ran 37 times for 182 yards, but Pitman went 60+ on the first play of the game for Vidor and our guys clamped down after that! thats 36/122 or 3.4 ypc! That's not good for a team that don't throw much. I think Vidor has to come out with some playaction early and more often to soften up the middle. Gotta keep those speedy Dayton LB's and DB's guessing.
12. I really want to see a 20-4A sweep, but Dayton wins this one. Dayton is faster and has the better coaching staff which will translate to being prepared to stop Vidors offense.
13.
Players from Central moving the pile and then break out the pile and then you call him down where he was first hit at.
Remember the whistle blew several times on the play and our guys let up which is why he "broke free". A few plays later when PNG had the ball Harmon is about to go down (not in a pile) and the official (who had been swallowing the whistle all night) blows it as Harmon keeps his balance and breaks the tackle. Even the official knew he blew it. He was shaking his head yes, when our coaches got on to him about it. I do agree that alot of penalties late in the game?? Mostly the holding calls?? didn't see them. I did see however the hit to the helmet on the QB! Though I don't agree with the penalty as a whole...It is a rule and it was valid. Great game either way. Jags will stir it up in what prooves to be a tuff D1 this year. Anyone of those undefeated top ranked teams that take the Jags lightly and underestimates those three losses, is in for a shock!!
14. Hale gets my vote for Defensive MVP in this district. Hands down. He was stellar all night. Harmon never broke a long run and that had a lot to do with Mr. Hales tackling ability. Central's LB's did a great job of tackling. Not many broken tackles. PNG on the other hand spent much of the evening trying to strip the ball and the Central backs did an outstanding job of keeping their legs churning to break those tackles. Two very good teams in one very wild game that we will all remember for years to come. Thank you to both teams for your passion for the game and entertaining us all. Good luck to the Jags. Beat the h3!! outa Goose Creek!!!
15. Pretty sure that Livingston would need to beat Vidor by 14 or more assuming Nederland beats Lumberton (probable) and Ozen beats LCM (possible). That creates a three way tie with Vidor, Ozev and Livingston and they would have all beaten each other which then goes to the Tie Breaker points against rule. Crazy, Crazy, Crazy. ::)
16. Why would you play a game manager when you have a game changer on JV?
17. To outscore your opponents 268-0 at any age level is unreal! No fumbles for a TD or bad snaps into the endzone or missed tackles for long TD's. What are the odds? Will be interesting to see these kids in the near future. Could keep Dan Ray in the Mustang saddle for several more years knowing what is coming. Congratulations to the kids and coaches!
18. Yes he will Soulja. The future looks bright with this kid. He was fast, hard to hit, hard to take down, had a cannon for an arm, but had no WR'S that could catch the ball. On one play he rolled out right threw back across his body left, and split two PNG defenders 40 yards down field in the endzone hitting his WR in the hands. Unfortunately after it hits the WR's hands it hit the ground! He threw another ball on a rope 50 yards to a WR that had beaten his man one on one, but the kid slowed down almost to a stop and tried to jump up and catch the ball. If he keeps running he catches it in stride for a long TD. PNG's WR #16 showed him how it's done a little later for a long TD pass! ;D
19.

I added some growth for the juniors for next year. A full offseason! And I wasn't sure about DJ's Height. I know Zeke was 6'4" or taller so I guessed on DJ. The two seniors I went by listed heights.
the heights they list exaggerate alot lol
Dallas Davis is every bit of 6'5". Doty may only be 6'2". Same for DeRon.
20. Best team to ever come out of 20 4A Sorta confussing, because it hasn't always been 20-4A and up until a few years back there were two local 4A's. , but I would have to agree that the Dayton team from a couple of years ago would be pretty high on my list. Along with '99 PNG and '00 WOS.
21. I added some growth for the juniors for next year. A full offseason! And I wasn't sure about DJ's Height. I know Zeke was 6'4" or taller so I guessed on DJ. The two seniors I went by listed heights. The point being, they can play at the next level.
22.
I dont think anyone from png has d 1 potential...
Here we go again! ::) There are several on PNG with Southland Conference capabilities, which is D1 (FCS). Seniors: Dallas Davis (6'5" 280 DE in 3-4) Dre Dunbar - Safety Spencer DeRon (6'3") H-Back/TE (reminds me of the Seth Harley kid from LCM a few years back that went to McNeese Caleb Harmon - RB Juniors: Greg Lunceford (6'3" 270 lb OL) DJ Schexneider (6'3" 220 lb OLB in 3-4 Rushing the QB) Brennan Doty (6'3" QB) needs to add some weight. I agree PNG does not have a bunch of Big 12, SEC or even CUSA guys, but the guys listed could all play in the SLC and a couple in the Sunbelt.
23. WOW, this thread has gotten boring and repetative. It's like listening to 6 year olds argue about who's daddy can beat up who's. ::)
24.
Obviously it is down alot.  PNG is way overated compared the rest of the state.  Don't think that because you dominated a weak district this year that you deserve the state ranking you receive.  This district will be shut down the first round of the playoffs.
Yeah and PNG fans are cocky! ::) We dominated a weak district (19-4A) and a tough one (20-4A). ;D
25.
vidor may have been trying to find it but the kids playing have been workin for it since their sophmore year to be where they are right now they want this more than livingston does IMO.
Really? You really think either team wants it more than the other? Livingston prooved on 10/30/09 that they are going down swinging. Last time Vidor played a team that was fighting for it's playoff lives, how'd that workout (Nederland W). I think you may underestimate the fight in the Lions. Both teams will play this one as a playoff game.
and its Sr. night the crowd will be loud and proud to keep them going and their confidence is up just bc they know they can do better than they have and they want to prove it. they don'twanna be remembered as the team that had the chance to make playoffs but choked they will come out playing hard just like the central and LCM games.i was told this by a player on the team.
What would you expect the players to say?  "We don't want to win"
