  1. No matter where they built it someone would be upset. Can't please all of the people all of the time. I like the fact that it will shine right there on I-10 for all to see.
  2. As I said Jack, welcome aboard! I think most of us PNG fans saw this comming during the spring. The renewed enthusiasm and precision with which the coaching staff ran things. The kids believed and the numbers went way up (kids in the program) because of it. Alot of folks said that a coaching change was not needed at PNG. They said it was lack of talent! I think they are being proven wrong. PNG may not be full of 4.4 guys, but there are enough good athletes to win when they are in the right system. 12-0 right now between JV and Varsity.
  3. Swing and a miss x2 ;D
  4. While I like the fact that Jack has seen the light, I think many of you forget that he was a big hater early in the season: Quote from: Jackthehammer on August 06, 2009, 04:15:28 AM PNG will go 1-9 this season. Write this down take a little note. Oh yea the one win will be against Nederland who will go 0-10 He also called us Cocky after the BH win and he predicted LCM would win the district before the season!
  5. Good job Dogs. Earlier in the week I predicted a Bear W. I was wrong! ;D
  6. Can't wait for Friday Night at the Rez!
  7. WOW!!! Way to go Titans. Impressive to say the least. Keep it up XBox! ;D Lance...Are you on board now?
  8. Livingston ends the night with 93 total yards. PNG whips Livingston. Crosby beats Dayton. And PNG has not played anyone :
  9. What? Did Manvel go split squad tonight?
  10. It's not raining on the Jags? :
  11. so are png's! Funny thing is BH is 4-2 and Crosby is 3-2. I would think the muddy conditions would normally favor PNG in this matchup because Jackson and company at Livingston are like waterbugs and rely heavily on the cutbacks and quick stop and go moves (big time athletes). It becomes hard to do that in slippery conditions. Whereas Harmon for PNG is a downhill runner. Now that being said PNG’s lack of playing on grass yet this year could become a problem. Good Luck to both teams. Hopefully everyone comes out healthy and everyone gets back home OK.
  12. Funny thing is that most of these so called recruiting expert sites miss the boat on talent evaluation big time. I used to look at how they rated our incoming recruits and get hyped up about it and have found that 9 times out of 10 they were dead wrong. I don't even give them much attention anymore. Heck the best player we have had the past 20 years they had as a low rated prospect (AD). I still say that if you can get 5 good players out of HS and take you lumps the first couple of years that you have a good chance in years 3 and 4 at upsetting the teams that recruit that one stud each year only to see him leave a year later. Something to be said for cohesion.
  13. That's not points...It's yards per game.
  14. AAW, did you get confirmation on the LB.......I was told there was some question there????? Sounds like there were too many questions and he missed more than 40% of them! ;D
  15. That's the same thing the fans from Brazosport, Lamarque and Shertz Clemens said about us in 1999. Ask them how that turned out for them. Speed is not the be all end all. Execution wins more games than speed! Ask Dodge and his slow teams from Southlake or Katy.
  16. You don't think PNG has heard that one before? "they just aren't fast enough" : The key to beating the Lions IMO is to make them punt a handfull of times and just flat out outscore them. Score everytime you get the ball! You won't shut them (Livingston) down completely and if you think you will you are fooling yourself, but their defense is very suspect! Good luck Lions.
  17. Yes Livingston is one dimensional, but they do that one dimension very well with Jackson and Company. The strength of PNG's defense all year has been the run defense especially when they have faced a team that runs the ball alot (TC). Should be a good matchup! If it rains all week Livingston has the edge due to field conditions since PNG has not played on a muddy field yet (turf at the Rez). No predictions from me. Good luck to both teams. Hate the drive to Livingston, but they have been a great addition to 20-4A from a Football standpoint.
  18. Defense PNG.......... 240 VID........... 253 OZE.......... 264 LIV........... 303 LUM.......... 307 CEN.......... 321 LCM.......... 338 NED.......... 364
  19. The backdraw against the defense when the offense runs the spread is that the teams that run the spread usually throw more and the game is extended leaving the defense on the field more. And when the spread is rolling it can be a quick hitter offense that also gets the defense on the field more, but if the defense can handle it, it is great to have all the points to be able to gamble a little on defense! PNG's defense has been on the field more this year than in years past, but the key has been that we have ZERO two way players and go about 15 deep om defense (lot's of substituting).
  20. Most likely Div II Central - 1537 Vidor - 1430 PNG - 1413 Lumberton - 1064.5 (I wanna meet that half a kid! ;D) Livingston - 1207 If you figure these teams to be in the running.
  21. Wow you folks are gullable. The guy was being facetious.
  22. I know that WOS will be letting school out around noon (maybe 1:00) because they need all the busses for the trip. Could this be why they are not going to HJ on Friday? No bus?
  23. ?? So we steamroll Nederland and drop to 4-1? Nederland is currently 1-3.
