1. There will also be a serious infusion of young talent in the Freshman ranks...Several kids that will contribute as the season goes on and they get there feet wet. (Kendrick King) remember that name.
 2. The Vidor defense was good last year, but not great...Q was great! Here are some facts to back that up from last year... Top 5 20-4A defenses last year from a PPG - District Only - stand point and returning starters this year 1. Nederland (16 PPG) - Not sure the numbers yet, but a lot 2. PNG (17 PPG) - 5 3. Livingston (19 PPG) - ??? I think they took a hit to graduation. 4. Vidor (20 PPG) - 7 5. Ozen (26 PPG) - 6 And Vidor gave up 32 ppg in there last 5 games of the season in which they went 3-2. And before someone post about the yards per game...YPG is misleading since Vidor runs a lot of clock. In the end the goal on defense is to stop the other team from scoring anyway!

Now they want Creuders head.
Seriously? You comparing us to lumberton? Wow. That's kinda sad.
Until proven differently!  It is a sad day for Vidor.  Reality bits hard.
God i can't not wait to shut everyone's mouth. Keep doubting us. That's just fueling the fire.
You said that last year and you ended up third in district.
And most believe this Vidor team to be a step down from last years. I personally think that the district as a whole will be down this year from last year. Nederland will be better, but most everyone else is dropping off a bit.

 5. DEAD HORSE!!!! You havent noticed yet that no one responds to your posts anymore about this subject?
 6.

Why would a Penn St. player transfer to Lamar? They can transfer anywhere without penalty. Without looking at their current roster, but I highly doubt there is a state of Texas player on the Penn St. roster. I can't see any player from the northeast of the country transferring to Lamar.
I'm talking second string or lower ranking players. At Lamar, many of those 2nd string players can start. Anywhere else, back to the bench. It's worth the try.
Unless they are from TX or LA, I really don't see the need in waisting what little recruiting budget LU has on trying to attract talent from PSU that has been given a golden ticket to go elsewhere!
 7. Bottom line is LCM under Crouch couldn't get in the 4 team playoffs with its best team in years two years back. No way they beat WOS this year or any of the next 3 years with what WOS has coming. WOS 35+ (outta respect for Crouch) LCM 7
 8. All this "Vidor's gonna go 10-0" and "the Pirates are the best team this side of Lake Travis" sounds eerily familiar after one good season...CHOOO-CHOOO Ask the L-Train fans how all that talk worked out for them a few years back! Now they want Creuders head.
 9. There's no Refinery next door to the Reservation? Actually there is no refinery within a few miles of the Rez! Now the two local Chemical plants I'll give ya! Of course in Vidor it's the Methlab's that pollute the neighborhood around the Stadium.
 10. While I'll agree the Butch has good parking and I like the cover of the second deck, I have issues with the great view from anywhere statement from liltex. Get there late for a PNG game and sit midway up in the second deck! Horrible sight lines...can't see the sideline at all. Spend half the game wondering what just happened?
 11. To all those that think I am just an NDN fan hatin' on Ozen, here are some facts to support my argument... Starting with the PNG game last year through the final playoff game, Ozens defense gave up 27 ppg! The last 3 district games (PNG, Ned, Liv) and the BH game (leaving off Lumberton because they are well Lumberton) the defense gave up 36 ppg. So why did Ozen make the playoffs? because in there final three district wins and against BH they averaged 40 ppg. And they scored 41 against a great Ned defense.
 12.
I sure hate all of the coaches that have left the program recently....Hopefully they will fill those positions with coaches that are excited to teach and grow young men.... We need some excited coaches!!!
So do you HATE the coaches or hate that they are gone?
We will surprise some people.  August can't get here soon enough.
We hear this every year ::)...I guess if you throw the dart enough times you will hit every now and again. Every one is DC in July!
 13. Got to meet Earl a few years back and can say firat hand that Earl Thomas is a Shinning Star in a profession that doesn't always produce such illuminaries!
 14. Trey Green!!! GONE! Best playmaker in the district possibly the region has graduated. We will find out just how good coach Nelson is this year, because alot of what got them into and through the playoffs last year was not coached...it was the talents of Mr. Green when things broke down.
 15. This is the RB that led Abeliene to the 5A State title a couple years back. He was a big time recruit. ESPN 150 and top 10 RB.  Lets hope he rights his wrong! Just find that it typically does'nt tend to work out in these situations. Kid goes to a small school (who isn't paying him  ;) ) and it just gets worse.
 16.
2011 all-state kicker Juan Carranco Dayton senior year 2012 will break even more HS records and will get alot of offers.I've watched him since his varsity freshman yr.and the best I've ever seen @HS level ;)
Single handedly beat my NDNs in Bi-District last year (well the QB weren't bad himself).
 17. Hard to argue against Barbay at Coldspring.
 18. I would suspect there will be some times when they will utilize Chase Rutledges ability in the pocket. Getting Jimmy the ball in some one on one situations can't be a bad thing, but ultimately Salter will run the offense. I would expect to see WOS move to more of a spread passing attack next year. Gotta utilize the talent you have each year.
 19.

Coach Creduir is the oc has been and will continue to be.
Wrong ! Randy Rowe (Liv) & Jeff Mathews (Vid) are OC's for Lumberton .
Now that FUNNY!! ;D
 20. I have to agree with the notion that the Lumberton offense as ran last year was not to there advantage as it might have been in another district. We played Livingston 1st district game and struggled, faced Lumberton a few weeks later and did much better then faced Vidor late in the season and looked like a team that new what it was doing against the misdiraction running attack.  3+ weeks of preparation was a plus. Same thing happened the year before. Livingston gave us fits right outta the box, then Vidor our boys looked better prepared and finally against BH in the playoffs they looked solid. It really doesn't matter that the offenses are different, the fact is they are built around misdirection and learning the hard way early on not to take the bait is big advantage later in the season.
 21.
yes we do but it just gets me when people imply that Vidor does not pass.
The point is not that Vidor never passes, the point is that Vidor doesn't pass on a reagular bases; therefore the Vidor QB typically is passing to a wide open player the three to five times a game that they do throw. They get very little experience passing into tight windows and working on mechanics.  This is not going to lead to a top notch QB prospect at the DI level. It's not a negative, it is what it is. To deny it is just silly. The thing that I have always felt was that the Vidor/Livingston QB should be completing 70+ percent of his passes since they are usually open. They don't and that's mainly because they are great athletes, but not great passers. As is the case with both Q and Collins.
 22. Congrats coach...Funny two years ago they were ready to run him outta town!
 23.

well I have been to 3 walgreens, 3 market baskets and 2 walmarts and academy here in the mid county area and no magazine. Bummer. What do they show for 20-4A ?
Ned Vidor PNG Beaumont Ozen
looks good to me. based on returners I'd say that's about right. I would put central over ozen because of the experience at QB.
 24. I see some of our Indian fans that see everything through Purple Tinted glasses are posting again! I am just hopeful for a playoff spot this year. I think we are at least two years maybe three away from having a legitimate state playoffs run.
 25.
Not this year. But when the Stangs do lose another district game it will most likely come at the hands of Silsbee. The Tigers are the only team in the district that can match up with WOS on an annual basis. Silsbee defeated WOS in district a few years ago and should have had a couple more. I don't see anyone defeating WOS in district this year.
Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding...We have winner!!! It will happen some day and it will probably be Silsbee...But I will say that there is a group of Freshman this year at HF that might have a say in three years...Only problem is I am not sure if one very, very good HF class can compete with two very good WOS classes and one WOS class that is just good not very good.
