  1. Clearly Barbers Hill Just ask Westerberg!
  2. Score? stay on topic folks.
  3. Gameday backup has been the Sr. Rogers with the Sophomore Bost playing on JV. Rogers got in against Silsbee (4th Q) and Huntsville (Shug injury), but Bost took more preseason snaps in scrimmages. Most think/thought Rogers would finish out game if Shug injury occurred and Bost would possibly start next game if Shug was out. More about getting the Sophomore playing time on Thursdays versus him sitting on Fridays all year. So it makes perfect sense CC!
  4. I thought 18 stepped in and played a good game.
  5. Huntsville DLine is man handling our OLine. 99 now 80 (jersey change) is a beast.
  6. Yep, Still the same!!!
  7. “Manvel and Crosby have been two of the top 5A teams in the Houston area for the last decade” I agree. Won’t happen often with Cougar Fan, but Manvel and Crosby have been two of the top 5A teams in Houston area for the last decade. Manvel #1, Crosby not #2, but clearly a top ten annually in greater Houston.
  8. In the meantime former well respected PNG assistant HC Joe Dale Carey who HF passed on a few years back was 7-5 at 4A D1 Crandall last year. His teacher wife is an HF grad and has family here. Most likely woudn’t have run away quickly like the other out of town options chosen. Good job HF.
  9. Um, then he prooved himself correct when Barry Switzer got a Super Bowl ring while woofing down hot dogs on the sidelines!
  10. Some yes, but you can't teach 6'4" 290 lbs.
  11. Aledo has big athletes. Big lines year in year out. That's something that's missing in local 5A. Teams have one or two big athletic linemen, but not 5.
  12. Briles never coached at WF. He left SVille after 99 title and went to Texas Tech as RB coach. Kendall Briles transfered for Senior year to WF (a suburb of Lubbock) because that's where the family was.

  14. Just saw that. Damn!!!!
  15. No. Manvel will be 5A D1
  16. PNG played WOS for two years before last realignment and had WOS on schedule until the last second Livingston debacle forced them off the schedule this past two years. No dodging here.
  17. Just couldn't score. Love to have those defenses and Faircloth offenses.
  18. And as usual, now we all get to go watch WOS the rest of the way. lol
  19. Todays mistake was punting on 4th and 4, down 21-7. Go for it. Score there and you may go in 28-21 at half with ball first in Q3. Congratulations to the better TEAM in CS. Good Luck.
  20. PNG hasn't had a big tough DLine in years. It all Starts up front.
  21. As I said that deffense had Burnetts fingerprints, but Doty was a result of Faircloth not Burnett and if you argue otherwise you're just a BF hater. Faircloth took Burnetts "kids" that won 3 games and went 11-1...end of discussion. Burnett had Lunceford, Schexneider and Doty on the varsity bench as Sophomores. Why do that?
  22. 9 years before Faircloth(3 playoffs): 52-40 (3-3 in playoffs). 0 times to Rd 3 9 years under Faircloth(8 playoffs): 72-33 (8-8 in playoffs). 3 times to Rd 3.
  23. Doty sat on the bench as a Sophomore under MB. Not on JV. On the bench on Varsity. Yes the defense under BF in 2009 still had the Burnett attitude, but that offense was all Faircloth.
  24. PNG wasn't "Dayton" before Shug and won't be Dayton after Shug. Folks forget, Doty-Harmon, Doty-Bertrand, Miller-Bertrand, Morse-Halfin all before Shug. Shug is the first real dual threat at PNG, but those forementioned combos along with WR's like, Deron, Jalali, Nelson, Rose, Sparks, Giblin, Sullivan, Mczeal and now Riggs all had great runs at PNG under BF. He helped all of those young men to be successful as HS players. PNG needs DLine help, plain and simple.
  25. For the record if you don't "out score" the other team, you lose!
