  1. For those Jag fans that couldn't wait to get rid of Foreman...becareful what you wish for. Jag coaching was disorganized and play calling ridiculous. Why run the same play 4 times in a row for 50+ yards then hand off to wr in motion, then attemp pass...pick 6??? Set the tone for the night.
  2. Notice that the top three passing defenses in district are the three teams that have yet to face PNG.
  3. The UIL should take this opportunity to adjust the numbers to help even out 4A and 5A. With 66 more teams in 5A and more in 6A they could even things out a lot and have more 6+ team districts in each classification. This would probably mean Ozen, Lumberton, Livingston would drop, but it would also probably mean WB could be close to the 5A D1 cutoff. Central, Ned, PNG, Vidor would probably join forces with BH and Dayton possibly Lee or Crosby as well. Thats one hell of a district!
  4. Shocked to see Vidor and Lumberton drop off like they have. Knew adding PAM would be a drop off and loosing LCM few years back has really decimated the district of some competition. PNG played a very good non district schedule and did quite well, I think they have the talent to go deep as does Nederland. Just gotta find ways to stay hungry over the next month +.
  5. Can someone post some stats for these young men?
  6. He would look great catching passes from #2 from that other purple team around here!!!
  7. Joe Dale Cary is a man of great integrity. We'd have him and his wife (excellent teacher at PNG) back in a heartbeat. She is an HF grad. HF made a mistake when they went with Harris over him in my opinion.
  8. Putting up great numbers doesn't mean the kid is a great "prospect", assuming by prospect you mean College Prospect. Top prospects are made at camps not on Friday nights. Most of the top players statistically each year in Texas don't get college offers.
  9. Odd, but if you click on his name in the first list it goes to his QBHit List profile and he is given a rating of 91.86 which would put him atop the list and it shows him as the #1 ranked player on there as well.
  10. The 2016 WOS Mustangs get my vote for most dominant start to finish. May have been others with more high profile players, but not sure anyone dominated week in and week out like this group for sixteen games.
  11. Then the next year they went to the 4A State Title game!
  12. According to the map Vidor and East Chambers already have facilities.
  13. Coach has to nominate players. If they didn't turn in nominations then no one was "eligible". This happened a few years back with LCM Softball.
  14. Most of the teams on that USA Today list are private schools that recruit.
  15. Alot of that came after Hughes was injured. Remember they lost Runnels to start the season, so they were in dire need of a running attack without those two. Going forward with several young options plus a healthy Hughes.
  16. Yeah, I chuckle when folks say PNG is not balanced on offense??? Been saying that since BF got here, yet several of the top individual rushing seasons have come under BF. Folks forget Harmons monster year in 2009, followed by Bertrands jr. year then 2000 yard Sr. season. PNG is a tuff shutout because of the balance.
  17. I would say it's easier to win 12 games in the Big 12 then any other Power 5 conference today. 12-1 in the Big 12 gets you in the playoff. Very doable at UT. Much harder in the SEC to win 12. Shug reminds me of Hurts at Bama. Same number, same build, same game. Hurts shoulda been at UT. Horns don't screw it up twice! Shug in burnt orange...so nice!
  18. It's called a job (Coach) vs and education to later get a job (player). Nothing messed up about that. On the otherside of this argument: Scholarship Player doesn't produce on field. Scholarship Player sits bench. Scholarship player still gets education. Coach doesn't produce on field. Coach loses job. Therefore just like you and me Coach is always free to look for another job.
  19. Actually, Bertrand is ranked up near the top in several RB categories. Harmon had a pretty solid year under BF and Halfin put up good numbers in his two seasons.
  20. Correct four teams make it, but gobback and take a closer look and you will see that only one of his playoff teams finished below 2nd place.
  21. So if he was a RB you'd be ok with it??? Round 3!!! Some people. smh Big thing tonight going forward is they have another running threat in the backfield to help Shug out. Been tuff sledding since Hughes went down. Sounds like Deslate can handle it.
