  1. 9 years before Faircloth(3 playoffs): 52-40 (3-3 in playoffs). 0 times to Rd 3 9 years under Faircloth(8 playoffs): 72-33 (8-8 in playoffs). 3 times to Rd 3.
  2. Doty sat on the bench as a Sophomore under MB. Not on JV. On the bench on Varsity. Yes the defense under BF in 2009 still had the Burnett attitude, but that offense was all Faircloth.
  3. PNG wasn't "Dayton" before Shug and won't be Dayton after Shug. Folks forget, Doty-Harmon, Doty-Bertrand, Miller-Bertrand, Morse-Halfin all before Shug. Shug is the first real dual threat at PNG, but those forementioned combos along with WR's like, Deron, Jalali, Nelson, Rose, Sparks, Giblin, Sullivan, Mczeal and now Riggs all had great runs at PNG under BF. He helped all of those young men to be successful as HS players. PNG needs DLine help, plain and simple.
  4. For the record if you don't "out score" the other team, you lose!
  5. Needs to see if he can lure K. Briles from FAU to be his OC and top recruiter. KB has FAU scoring at will and he would be instant help to Fisher in recruiting Texas.
  6. There were illegal snap penalties and poor snaps all night from the new Center, not just when Shug came out. Different Cadence causes issues at every level from peewee to the nfl doesn't mean if they lined up 60 times a game with a QB other than Shug it would happen every play.
  7. Happy. When you get into the playoffs you gotta matchup all 11 on both sides of the ball. Fact is in the later rounds we don't have the size and speed across the board to matchup. Saw it with a gritty Nederland team last week that gave every ounce of what they had, but just couldn't matchup 11 on 11 all night. And one star athlete wouldn't have made the difference for them in that game. Not saying our boys can't win a few of those, but it's extremely difficult to win 4 of those in a row.
  8. I'd like to see it paired down too. Maybe not 11 but something like: 1 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 6 OL 5 DL, 4 LB, 3 CB, 2 S 1 K, 1 P, 1 KR/PR Also the superlative award winners are included as 1st. Teamers. (i.e. MVP is QB and 1st team QB)
  9. They just need to complete 80% of the 5 or 6 wide open passes that they do attempt instead of 30%.
  10. Um MB teams went to the playoffs 3 times total in the 10 years after 1999. Thats another reason he was asked to step down. It was time. For his failures against Nederland, BF has led PNG into the playoffs usually as either DC or runner up in now 8 out of 9 seasons. Only one lossing season and only one season with less than 7 wins. Get over it folks. 8-1 DC great season. Beat the coogs!
  11. Sophomore
  12. 2009 better overall team. Still had the MB defensive toughness and a mean running game and Doty was an excellent QB. Sans Brenham I believe that Team could've played for a State Title. This team lacks that punch up front on O and the D is young and still finding it's way. Still good enough to beat Ned though and make some noise in the playoffs. Shug to Riggs is explosive!
  13. For those Jag fans that couldn't wait to get rid of Foreman...becareful what you wish for. Jag coaching was disorganized and play calling ridiculous. Why run the same play 4 times in a row for 50+ yards then hand off to wr in motion, then attemp pass...pick 6??? Set the tone for the night.
  14. Stansbury #7 is JR and Weunschel #9 a Soph.
  15. Notice that the top three passing defenses in district are the three teams that have yet to face PNG.
  16. The UIL should take this opportunity to adjust the numbers to help even out 4A and 5A. With 66 more teams in 5A and more in 6A they could even things out a lot and have more 6+ team districts in each classification. This would probably mean Ozen, Lumberton, Livingston would drop, but it would also probably mean WB could be close to the 5A D1 cutoff. Central, Ned, PNG, Vidor would probably join forces with BH and Dayton possibly Lee or Crosby as well. Thats one hell of a district!
  17. Shocked to see Vidor and Lumberton drop off like they have. Knew adding PAM would be a drop off and loosing LCM few years back has really decimated the district of some competition. PNG played a very good non district schedule and did quite well, I think they have the talent to go deep as does Nederland. Just gotta find ways to stay hungry over the next month +.
  18. Can someone post some stats for these young men?
  19. Congratulations the the Woodville crew.
  20. He would look great catching passes from #2 from that other purple team around here!!!
  21. Joe Dale Cary is a man of great integrity. We'd have him and his wife (excellent teacher at PNG) back in a heartbeat. She is an HF grad. HF made a mistake when they went with Harris over him in my opinion.
  22. Putting up great numbers doesn't mean the kid is a great "prospect", assuming by prospect you mean College Prospect. Top prospects are made at camps not on Friday nights. Most of the top players statistically each year in Texas don't get college offers.
  23. Odd, but if you click on his name in the first list it goes to his QBHit List profile and he is given a rating of 91.86 which would put him atop the list and it shows him as the #1 ranked player on there as well.
  24. The 2016 WOS Mustangs get my vote for most dominant start to finish. May have been others with more high profile players, but not sure anyone dominated week in and week out like this group for sixteen games.
