  1. Anyone think another team will offer big money for Ro with all his question marks or do the Cowboys hold all the cards in this negotiation?
  2. Me too. If not for the off field stuff he would be the second best pro QB prospect the past 5 years behind only Luck. Big guy. Strong arm. Productive winner. Pro style offense. Film Smart. All the same things said about Luck when he came out.
  3. I agree. With that O Line you dont have to over draft at the RB spot. TJ Yeldon is a very similar runner to Murray and will probably be available in round 3. The Cobb kid from Minnesota really impressed me every time I saw him this year and he'll probably be around in the 4th or 5th round which is worth a gamble.
  4. How does Shugart have a HR???BC hadn't played a real game yet
  5. Oh and Tony Romo has never had a BAD year. His worst year was 2010 and he ended injured. Never thrown more picks than TDs or even very close to it. Tony sat for two years before he touched the field. Which is standard for a guy drafted later or undrafted as was his case. Had Romo thrown 28 interceptions (ala Manning) that first year as a starter he'd be selling cars right now in Wisconsin.
  6. That makes no sense whatsoever. The high draft pick gets a much longer leash than the undrafted or lower drafts because the investment is too big to giveup on too early. The lower picks get yanked quick because theres no front office folks whinning about the money when you bench em. You ever look at Peytons first season? BAD. But he was invested in $$$. A guy drafted in the fifth round doesn't get that luxury. Jamarcus Russell lingered for three years and he was atrocious, but a top pick.
  7. Thats not true. Earl Thomas was a four star DB outta HS by both Rivals and Scout.com and Chritian Michael was I believe a five star RB outta WB for sure a four star. Tom Bradys so old he was in HS before there were stars! :)
  8. But you stated: It will clearly impact his DRAFT status. It shouldn't have much impact on his overall NFL career ten years down the line if he can play. Tony Romo made lots of money, but he missed out on a lot of money his first three years in the league because of his draft status. The kids making the right move and so are the coaches at EWU. Im sure if Oregon and EWU were not on the schedule he'd be welcomed to workout at EWU while he finishes up that EWU degree.
  9. I agree, but if your good enough to get drafted early and get paid early wouldn't you wanna have a chance to do so. If he went off again at EWU this year he mighta been a second rounder, if he goes off at Oregon he might be the first overall and then he gets a big contract followed by an even bigger contract if he prooves himself before he becomes a free agent.
  10. Right choice. Theres nothing that says he won't be a good and possibly someday soon great NFL QB on the field...on the field!!! I don't think this kid is the next Ryan Leaf. He's done a pretty good job in handling the media and theres been a lot of it, so far. Both negative and positive. You would hope he has learned from the JFF NFL fiasco. He's a very bright kid from what I've read who just needed to grow up into a man.
  11. Eh. WRONG. It may not have any impact on his NFL career, but it will definitely have an impact on his draft status, i.e. His wallet on draft day. How many FCS or whatever they call it now, QB's have been drafted in the first round in the last twenty years? Answer: 2. A whopping 2 in twenty years. (McNair and Flacco) Now how many over drafts on QBs from major D1 in twenty years? I'd have to take my shoes off to count 'em. 😜 You are correct that plenty of NFL QBs have come from non-BCS schools, both starters for the Texas teams this year as a matter of fact, but where'd they get drafted. They didn't make big money until later contracts.
  12. When you start weighing the other available options you gotta figure he is worth that much money. Doesn't make him a superstar...just makes him the market value.

Spin it however you want. An A$$ whoopin is an A$$ whoopin no matter who the opponent. And both teams got an A$$ whoopin. One ain't better than the other.
  14. Thats a tuff one. I am sure the coaches recognize that his NFL stock goes way up if he can start at Oregon versus EWU, these guys aren't morons, and I am sure they sgree with the move, but you spend the offseason prepping for the start of the next season so having him around would be a huge huge distraction knowing he may start that game. I'd do the same as a coach.

Yes Longhorn sh*+ stinks as bad as Aggie sh*+ does. You are correct. Difference I see so far is that Longhorn sh*+ gets flush down the toilet and Aggie sh*+ gets a little sand kicked on it to be stepped on/in at a later date.
  16. I miss JD doing Astros telecasts. Always entertaining.
  17. You gotta admit it looked like Jr. High competition he was going up against. Wisconsin nit really known for its stellar HS Football programs.

3 offensive starters. And two role players. Yeah. Bunch of benchwarmers.

??? Charlie Strong has had ZERO Tolerance. ZERO. That cannot be argued. And he has not been selective with his ZERO Tolerance. What happened before him is not on him. Charlie Strong is the individual who's integrity is being questioned by Aggie Fan over the slight POSIBILITY (not factual) that he knew about his DL Coach leaving for Florida before signing day. REALLY???? And my memory serves me well...under Kevin Sumlin the Aggies are a mess off the field and outside of the two he kicked off last year how many others have been dealt a swift hand?

How is your DL coach leaving two days after signing day anywhere near the level of keeping kids in your program that continue to break program rules and the law in some cases? Are Aggie fans that delirious? Those two things are stratospheres apart.
  21. Not a fan. Need help on DLine. Need a pass rush. And secondary help. With that line, they can get a RB in round 3 or 4. RBs always fall in draft.

  23. Step one: admitting you have a problem. Check Step two: seeking help for problem. Check He's on the right path. God Bless Him. Hopefully he comes out and pours himself into his profession to pass the time and becomes a better man and someday father.

Yep. This young man appears to be a bit of a primadonna
  25. Randle averaged 6.7 ypc. Cowboys stunk with Weeden in at QB. Watt was great, but I'd argue Foster had the biggest impact on Houston winning 6 more games.
