  1. WOW what a coincidence. PATitan has the same job as you and he types just like you. How busy can you be if you have time to spend on here?? You just contradicted yourself.... LOL this is great!!!!!!!!
  2. Fail at what? Sorry, but I have a hard time keeping up with the gibberish and run-on/incomplete sentences that you post most of the time. But I'm learning! ;D Get used to it 82....there;s gonna be a whole lot of it now...lol. Alot of folks argue with him...I just LTM and put him on iggy.. well apperently you are a fan of mine because you still see my posts. just like on the other board Yes I am Pounce...you are extremely entertaining just like 82 5A posted. I totally enjoy your posts, but in the future can you try to use that "spell check" button down there. But wait....if you spelled and punctuated correctly and used proper grammar, your posts just wouldn't be the same level of funny. BTW, welcome back and please keep up the "I hate MC" theme.. LOL @ Titan as in PATitan....::his cover is blown::

  4. i assure you we are not the same. we might share the same views, but are two different people. as far as i'm concerned, the overrated hs football team that plays in that overrated city/town is a has been now. sure they will make the playoffs and they can start counting again, but never a true champion...we have 5 where i live and the "streak" is well over 20. [/quote UUhhhh..OK
  5. LOL Pounce and SFA85 are very very similar indeed...Almost like they are the same person, right Pounce?? The attempts at MC bashing should begin shortly...let the laughs begin.. ff= flag football
  6. Here ya go Catman...Yankee football weather
  7. Yeah, I knnow Dawgnut. It's pretty much a given. That's why it's so much fun. I can't wait for this!!!!!
  8. Man....I can't wait to see what new thrills are in store for this year...regardless of what team(s) ya root for it's always great to get out and see some HS ball on Friday nights.
  9. But how many student athletes are there in the state?? I just wonder how many actually use that garbage... (just thinking out loud...uuhhhh in typing)
  10. He probably still is Soulja...except when he's in the squared circle...but I wouldn't want to find out personally!! ;D Regardless of the profession, it's always good to see a local guy make it big..
  11. And IMHO, I think that alot of these sports parents (not necessarily those on this board) will have no problem with their kids taking roids...anything to become the most physical athlete they can become..without regard for the kids' overall well being and to make up for some physical shortcoming their kid may have.. The level of competiveness with some young athletes, again IMHO, supported and condoned by some coaches and parents dream to relive their lives through their kids, does nothing but put their kids at risk. I'd bet that there are some pre-HS age athletes that have already experimented with roids, with their parents urging. But this is just my 2 cents.
  12. I bet Weaver had a good case of "The Reds" ;D
  13. I'm not taking anything away from these kids abilities at all. And no, I hven't seen any of them play...but be realistic...at 5/6 y/o, don't you think it's really a bit premature to be predicting their paths 8-10 years down the road? Let them enjoy the game...let them grow into what they are destined to be....Support them..don't force them...I've seen many kids get burned out with sports before they even hit HS age, mainly because of the pressures put on them by parents/coaches. If they are destined to play ball at the next levels, so be it... p.s. I didn't post to offend anyone..If I did, I apologize..I'm just trying to make a point..I've seen this happen to alot kids that my son starting playin ball with at 6 y/o..He just finished his 15 y/o Babe RUth season....and I don't see ALOT of the faces around that were playing at ages 6-12.
  14. Yep...my thoughts exactly ::I wonder if any of these kids have agents yet?? :: :
  15. WHAT? You don't want snapper that costs you about $45 a pound? For $45, I want it cleaned, cooked and served to me on a nice beach resort by my own private Hooters lady who will feed it to me ;D
  16. Sounds awesome... I'll take 3 orders of that to go!!!
  17. We used to fish there all the time b4 Rita. Had alot of luck with smaller keeper size flounder on minnows/shrimp. Some good crabbing as well. I haven't been there since Rita so I don't know now.
  18. This looks like a good recipe, but it's a bit too fancy for me: 1/2 fresh pineapple, cored and peeled 2 mangoes, peeled and pitted 1 Mexican green papaya, peeled and seeded 1 red onion, diced 1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped Juice from 1/2 lime 1/4 cup apple juice Sea salt Cracked black pepper 1/4 cup prepared harissa (see note) 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice 4 (6-ounce) filets of red snapper (or swordfish) Cut the pineapple, mango and papaya into medium dice; mix with the onion, cilantro, lime juice, apple juice, salt and pepper. Set aside in the refrigerator. In a small bowl, whisk together harissa, olive oil and orange juice. Pour this mixture over the fish and allow to rest, refrigerated, for 2 hours before cooking. Build a medium to high fire in a charcoal grill that has been well oiled; cook fish 3 to 4 minutes on each side and remove from the grill. Serve with fruit salsa. Fish may be served with basmati rice that has been tossed with lemon zest. Note: Harissa is a spicy North African seasoning that contains hot chiles, cumin, garlic, coriander and caraway. It can be found at Whole Foods and at specialty food markets. Serves 4.
  19. I agree with all of your post East TX (except maybe doubling the teacher salaries... a nice raise would help though). Unfortunately, I don't ever think that it could happen. Too much politics to get rid of innefficiency at that level. Maybe in a perfect world...but not the one we live in now. Run a school district like a public corporation and alot of the inneficiencies would be gone...again, that ain't never gonna happen.
  20. Does anyone know if Texas Bayou (along the road in Sabine Pass) still exists as a fishing spot?? I havent been down there since b4 Rita...we had alot of luck with small but keeper size flounder on minnows and shrimp. And it was a good place to fish with small kids from a safety point of view.
  21. IMO nothing beat doin fish over a wood fire (wrapped loosely in heavy duty foil) and basted heavy with olive oil, fresh lemon juice, cracked black pepper and some fresh herbs (rosemary, dill, parsley) Just don't overcook it...it's done jus right when it starts to flake with a fork. ::droolin on the keyboard:: fresh tossed salad, corn on the cob and a few COLD ones...PERFECT MEAL!! ;D
