I was wondering this myself as neither school has posted a cancellation yet. Last thing on either was game on tonight.

Definitely not bad at all..and I wouldn’t want any of those others on my team over him size or not. You will see no other player give what he does from the opening tip to the end of the game. All out all the time... Sure size may be be an upside factor for a player but so can heart!! And no one has more heart than Bre does.

I wasnt trying to imply that, just noticing a lot of it.

I think one problem with the tackling is too much emphasis on trying to strip the ball. Yes that is a part of the game but focus needs to be more on finishing the play.

Exactly, loved seeing some variety in the passing game. Nederland fans need to remember they weren’t the only team with a missed fg. A 40 yarder that had plenty of leg. And yes did see some tiring in that fourth quarter but yes we had enough to finish. Not sure how many players we have spending the majority of the game on the field but i noticed all three rbs out there a lot. Tough on them as hard as they play.

Sounds like the exact things I have been hearing the last two weeks about my Tigers!! Good win tonight guys. Keep grinding!! I have had some criticism myself of some called plays and didn’t like the decision to run the stretch play on the 4th and short tonight. But I loved the play call on the next to last TD.

Somebody tell me was there anyone over the center on that fourth down run?

Worst part for us was holding him down for pretty much the whole game. But then on that last drive he wasn’t going to be denied. He orchestrated the whole drive, just wasn’t going to be denied.

Last weeks the passing game was not bad. I don’t feel you can get a very good judgement based on last night. I can’t remember many passes attempted that weren’t deep routes. Newton’s coverage was too good for those to work . By the time the ball could be thrown Foster was under too much pressure.

ThisTiger fan isnt turning on either the team or coaches. Both need to learn and get better going on but we play these tough early games for that reason.

For us, Not much of a running game until the game was pretty much in control..why..they did what i expect most everyone to do, especially those who have enough talent to keep up with our recievers on the go routes....you arent going to out athlete newton. As far as the defense, hmm lots of talent on that Newton side but yes we have to tackle better and at least have someone cover or attempt to cover the receivers. I saw too many with noone near them. We have to be able to establish a little variety in that passing game, it came around some later in the year last year, lets get it going again. One difference i have noticed so far this year is we seem to be using even more players both ways..that makes it tough. Tonight we had about 11 more players on the sidelines but i dont know if we really used many more players than Newton did.

And that could have been the reasoning but i believe he was outside the tackles by a good bit .

Wow only 18????? Ok no need for the question i had. I mean everyone knows Newton but i generally expect a little more from Kirbyville but i had no idea.....

A type of football tackle where the tackling player grabs the opening of the jersey and/or shoulder pads on a player's back and pulls them to the ground. Which is exactly what i saw. Was it a dirty play....i definitely did not think so. I just think he was making the play.

Exactly.....I knew we had the athletes to keep up at least until halftime. I felt that the depth difference would show up somewhere during the third or fourth quarter. When we started having all the cramps and obvious tired players you started seeing mistakes and plays that we just could no longer make.. As the year goes on and we get in better shape and those numbers level out we will be just fine. Defense needs a little adjusting and we will need a little more variety in our passing game but we will get there and be just fine. Next week will give us a good idea how we stack up against one of those powerhouse programs that wont have a numbers advantage. Keep working Tigers!!

Can’t disagree with that. So far I haven’t been too surprised myself. Expected a slow start defensively. A little surprised I guess with the passing game after what I had heard from the scrimmages. Now like was questioned on that last statement, I came in expecting some separation later in the game due to the depth issues. I hope we can be surprised.

Tigers better get a stop on the first series of the second half. A 2 score deficit will be a killer when we can hardly get a stop.

How do you go out of bounds past the first down marker and they mark it 2 yards short. So you must have stepped out of bounds but the clock keeps running???

So can someone outside their district make an appeal?
