Silsbee 83 Little Cypress-Mauriceville 52/FINALST413 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball Lcm did have a good game. The Tigers didnt shoot the ball particularly well, except for Bush he was on fire for a while there. Didnt think we played quite as good on the defensive side as we did against hj. Still a good game by the Tigers.

Lumberton 38 West Orange-Stark 35/FINALST413 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball So there was only one shot made the entire OT. I saw the video of the last shot with lumberton holding the ball for a long time, did they hold it the whole OT period?

#1 Shelbyville (22-2A) vs #2 East Chambers (22-3A)ST413 replied to tennisbc's topic in High School Boys Basketball Nursing injuries is one thing but coaches dont take a warmup game, especially one between 2 teams of this caliber just for a light practice. They want the game to be stiff competition to see where they are against good competition. The kids can get hurt at practice, just ask Dez Bryant. If these coaches were going tomworry about an injury they wouldnt have agreed to the game. Now if the game situation warrants removing players, ie a blowout or maybe a physical game getting out of control then all things change.

#1 Shelbyville (22-2A) vs #2 East Chambers (22-3A)ST413 replied to tennisbc's topic in High School Boys Basketball Yeah and a kid can get hurt in practice just as easy as a game....matters mot when the game was agreed upon. If they have injuries sure they may sit them out but if not i am sure both coaches will go all out to win this game or else they would not have agreed upon it.

Silsbee 81 Hardin-Jefferson 55/FINALST413 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball Yes. Just needs to fall in place and stay there.

Silsbee 81 Hardin-Jefferson 55/FINALST413 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball Now all of that depends on how long he feels he can put any of the main group on the bench.

Silsbee 81 Hardin-Jefferson 55/FINALST413 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball Depending on grades and who is on the bence, i would not be surprised to see as many as 11 play significant time in the playoffs. White, Cartwright, and Sells who all played a good bit last year. Then you have Thomas who has consistently improved and playing real well lately and adds some length. You also have Harmon who has been out lately but is back and made contributions last year in the playoffs and will hopefully fall right back in place. And you have Gilder as a possibility as he has had a real good year.

#1 Shelbyville (22-2A) vs #2 East Chambers (22-3A)ST413 replied to tennisbc's topic in High School Boys Basketball No but i also would not have accepted a warm up game in that situation either. The coaches accept these game to keep that rhythm of playing twice a week and to try to get some good work in. Especially if they can find someone who may fit an area that his team needs to work on. I dont believe either coach would accept a game if they were just going to play the reserves. I dont think they would do that to the other coach in most cases.

Silsbee 81 Hardin-Jefferson 55/FINALST413 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball Loved seeing the defense the Tigers played in that first half! Best i have seen this year. And i believe one Devon McCain showed how much of a difference maker he is. He was one of the two bi gifferences the other was the way the game was called. Not near as tight tonight as it was in sour lake. Hate seeing this group of seniors last game but it has been a heckuva ride. And we have a few more games to go. On a side note, i got to see the production rig for these live broadcasts....quite impressive.
