Defense definitely needs to be better than that night however I am not surprised that wos scored their second most points in a game the opponents scored 107. That pace means More possessions and when you break that press a lot more layups. And if I remember right they hit a good number of 3s at least in the first half.

The subs in games like this generally play the last 3 minutes or so of each quarter and then last night the entire 4th quarter. I am sure it’s for a combination of reasons : 1) preventing injuries 2) backing off and 3) getting those bench players some good minutes. The more experience and playing time they get the better they get. Somewhere down the line that will pay off. Both fans and players should see that. This is a team sport. Besides those top players really don’t need to pad their stats everyone knows who they are and just how good they are. The thing is putting things on here or any other public platform is seen by coaches at the next level and can have a negative impact.

Most definitely. I won’t even touch on any of that other talk. Those matters no should be left to coaches and players. One thing I will say is that tonight this team seemed to play better as a team than I have seen lately. Yes it wasn’t a close game but they moved the ball around better than in similar games recently.

I left with it 111-42 and about 4 minutes left.

I think I can remember seeing a pic of Bush in a football uniform. Thought it was at Legacy but may not have been it’s been a while since I saw it and I am getting old.....

I wouldnt look at it that way but i would think he would have made a difference in a few ways that may have made a sizable difference. How big we cant be sure. 1.) A 6’4 player closing and contesting some of those shots compared to another player under 6 foot. Probably resulting in more HJ misses. 2.) Rebounds on both ends cutting down HJs second chance points and adding to ours. 3.) Someof those Tiger possesions would have ended with a basket by McCain on a drive, some of those may very well have been possesions that we didnt score on. However withthat said there are two any variables for either side to know just how much of a difference it would have been numbers wise. Maybe Devon would have gotten in foul trouble, maybe hjs big man/men wouldhave had even more foul trouble....

I think where the difference is when wos plays us is they have more speed and overall athleticism than lcm. Where lcm is fundamental. We end up in a running game with wos and they can get back to the other end just as fast as us.

Bridges fouls out with about a minute left in the third on a charge. I believe he had 5 points. LCM doing a pretty good job playing without him tonight.

For multiple incidents this season for both teams, I would have expected some team penalties to have occurred.

I saw that there will be a district meeting concerning an altercation at last weeks game. Just wondering what happened?

The low free throw numbers especially in that first half to me show how most of the fouls were called away from the basket. Not many shooting fouls. I don’t think it was the foul count that kept the game close. There were a number of factors: 1) Hj played and shot the ball very well 2) game was called tight away from the basket limiting the Tigers success in forcing turnovers 3) McCains absence. And I can add 4) Everytime we looked to start a run HJ hit a big shot to stymie it. We allowed too many good looks, rotated leaving a man open and HJ hit the shots.

Honestly the buzzer was a second two later. We had the ball when it went off if i remember right.

Yes after seeing the video, it was a foul. A bad no call even. One of many missed or no calls. Sure this one is glaring in The eyes of many for the time and situation in which it occured. Would it have altered the outcome, who knows but no more than any other missed calls could have. One call on hj that resulted in a free throw made by the Tigers and the game was out of reach bythat shot. A couple missed calls on the tigers and hj could have made 4 fts so that shotmay have never even been taken. No matter if his feet hitthe floor or not a foul occuring like that is a shoothing foul, would have been three pressure packed free throws. Which wouldn't have matteredif we had made one of our 2 at the other end. Bottom line was it was a Tiger win in a much better game than just about anyone expected. It was the type ofgame that our schedule was made to prepare us for and in the end that schedule paid off.

Surprised this game is as close as it is because they are whipping our tails.

I have to take everyone’s word for it....i was only paying attention to whether or not the shot went in. I never like to see HJ that close at the end!!!!! But it was fun to have the feel of several years ago..if only the Tiger fans would have chanted Back to Back in response to the hj chants!!
