If. And that's a big if, that one comes to Silsbee and everyone else stays it would be real scary for our opponents. Grayland would be a starter anywhere in the area. It would probably even be bigger for Tiger football. -

They moved Grayland down to JV? They must have a lot of new communications students! -
Haha!! Maybe he needs to start drinking!

Ten worse than you but i would bet that course is quite a bit tougher than the ones you are playing! He has more troubles than a swing change. His mental game is nowhere near where it was several years ago. Not near as confident and now he is not feared!

No he was guaranteed some state titles!!

Defenders/409 Elite AAU tournament June 5-7
ST413 replied to DeuceSixSuited's topic in SETX Youth Sports
What's up with this one? Any schedule? -
No excuse at all, I said They should have gotten a shot off. Did not say it would have been made.
-
I don't know that they should have called a TO, they had a good break with Harden having the ball. I though he should have kept going to the basket instead of the pass. He did have 2 defenders going with him but go to the basket and dish off for an open shot not pass to the closest to you. Either way you have to at least get a shot off, drive and dish or shoot and hope for a foul if you don't score.

Absolutely nothing!

At 3-1 most of us did including me but that was after game 1!

If you are referring to some of my comments, none were directed at you unless I addressed it to you. I think what you are doing is great. -

I think it is only against il rules if you coach your own players, as far as Brady coaching his players the school isn't uil. I know a few years back according to posts Yates coach Wise was also an AAU coach. -

Brady you have great points. AAU coaches like yourselves are great for these kids. Devoting your time and money and pushing these kids to be the best they can be is great. But, and you will have to answer this, how many of these summer coaches are like yourself and how many are there to maybe Coach their kids or other kids or even try to get a moment in the sun themselves by having success. I realize some of these high school coaches may be merely there for the job as well but many have just as much care for the kids as well. As far as the remarks about average AAU or High School Coaches, my interpretation would be that based on pure coaching ability. I am not a good evaluator of that but I know from seeing comments that there are some AAU coaches that have had very successful careers so I would put them on the top level just like Coaches like Sutherland locally or Boutte and so on. Those coaches at the top levels may be pretty even. When you get to the lnext level where coaches haven't really had success at the top and maybe don't have the coaching skills of these the above category, I would say may be the average coaches. For the most part I would think from that level the high school coaches would have the edge there based on their education and maybe experience. my opinions there are not a criticism of you or any other coach in particular just an overall observation. I could be wrong because I have very limited AAU experiences. With that said my hats off to the Coaches such as yourself that go the extra mile and devote large portions of your life helping these kids. I think that is one of the best things a person can do, help our youth to better themselves, keep them off the streets and give them goals to reach for. -
Not enough team has been caught twice. Brady caught cheating in the playoffs. I may be extreme but it should cost him the season. Make others think before doing it.

That's what I thought.

I saw this in a video the other day. Pitch is made, runner takes off from 2nd trying to steal third. Catcher gets up and sidearms the ball towards third hitting the batter who is still in the same spot he was in in the batters box. What is the ruling?

Fight Night Saturday
ST413 replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
Smart definitely and that plays a big part. Floyd is definitely the better boxer. He beat Pac. He knows with a fighter like Pac that is very good it only takes one shot to knock Floyd out or stun him enough to cause a barrage to end it not likely but possible. From that standpoint why would he take that risk. It may never happen but two things may cause it to $$$$$ and pride resulting from the thoughts of beating him while injured. We know he listens to the $$$$ signs, we will just have to wait and see if either they or his pride speaks loud enough. -

I don't know who you can trust if anyone. But if what was stated is true and he requested anti inflammatories before the fight for his shoulder it was already hurt but you very well could be right in that he may have been hurt but actually tore it during the fight. This by what they said would have probably happened in the third round so he was still injured the majority of it, if not all of it. Just for the record I am not much of a boxing fan these days. I don't really ever watch any fights. Haven't since Tysson and even really the Hagler days. I am just saying like I figured after the fight when the injury was announced that a rematch is quite possible for the $$$ and to put an end to any doubt.
