Since when did it become such a big deal to play a football game on a grass field, in the rain, and mud??  Football is game meant to be played in all weather elements.  Sick and tired of hearing the field was too muddy or the ball was too slick or our band couldn't perform...you're going to battle, WAR for 48 minutes...adapt and overcome!!!  P4L!!!!!!!!!!

You Coug fans are hilarious.   If the thread is this long against Vidor, wait just until you play our Mid county friends.
In all honesty,  I know the Cougs are favored.  I know the odds are you will win.  But much like the Summer Creek fans, you are full of yourselves for no real reason.   It makes you all targets to easily mock.
Vidorians, or at least the ones my age, rolled with the losses and still maintained our team spirit.  Losses were the norm which makes our current success much sweeter.  But I have a feeling that if you lose tonight,  it will be much more painful for you than a loss for Pirate fans.

We've played Crosby three times in recent history...all in the playoffs. All three at neutral sites, all three in the playoffs, two were close games that could go either way. Disrespect us if you want but you're coming to a fired up Boneyard that LOVES to barbeque KITTIES! Vidor 28 - Cosby 24 in a good one! Parking is an issue but the west side of the stadium is usually reserved for the visiting fans. If not, there are big parking lots north side of the school with a short walk there.

Oddly enough, I find it comical that you're so hard for them.
Shots fired. I'm kidding... hey it's a game. Someone will win. Someone will lose. Sometimes, you can even win by losing as long as you leave it all on the field and can live knowing there is absolutely nothing else you could have done to change that game. There are invaluable lessons in sports...beyond the results on the score board.

Hey! You and Bootleg both... line up or pair up, I don't care.
but seriously...I love that about my neighborhood. if it's not Dallas flags, it's UT, or aTm .. it's like walking out in Pleasantville. Wives borrow sugar, the pits and smokers are going on the weekend during football season, the atvs get loaded up... just the little grandeur of it all that make you appreciate your blessings.

I haven't been on this thread since it was only 3 pages. Wow. Things have taken a turn. I wish I could say for the better. But some of you guys, man... have some class. Unfortunately, it can't be taught. Neither can heart. I try not to take offense to people saying they don't want to live in Vidor. Keeps the traffic to a minimum. Personally, I love this little community.  It's a community of mostly hardworking folks that get up every morning and tend to business. It's a bedroom community much like Orangefield, Bridge City, etc. People live here because it's neighboring the big industrial cities and the commute isn't so bad.
I'll tell you another thing...you folks that live and walk like you're high and mighty...you're not. In my travels, I can tell you that people are pretty much the same all over. Don't believe me? Go to any Walmart, lol. Hell, I saw a rough looking lady walking on Boston Avenue in Nederland this week.. tank top, dirty jeans, no shoes. And I was like..Jeez, did she walk all the way from Vidor like that? A little self-depreciation is humbling. To those of you running down this little town, I hope you're joking. I love my neighborhood, and my community as a whole (well mostly...not too far north, and not too far south.) Especially during football season. I walk out my front door on Saturday mornings... pretty much all the men are doing yardwork, kids are riding bikes, the Cowboys flags get put out next to our American flags.
Point is - Having a standard of living doesn't equate to high standard of life. The poorest..absolutely poorest people I know..only have money.

    Back on topic -
I'm pulling for Vidor, but I know it won't come easy. They will have to play a near flawless game. Might have trouble breaking away for 60, but 10, 6s work out the same way. Speedy teams...You just keep punching them in the mouth, and knocking them on their butts, and they will get tired of picking themselves up. Control the tempo, take care of the ball, take care of each other, and miracles happen everyday.

I have to admit, your gif game is even stronger than my daughter’s. Usually when it’s at this level most of your friends are women? You only have 95 posts so I may be getting the wrong signal?

Great news, shout out to Pioneer Plumbing for handing out 5 reams of paper to teachers in the district until supplies lasted, not only are they paying for two separate bonds they stepped up and gave out some paper.  Kudos, now there is only about 5.8999995 million to make up!

Your right, maybe if we spent 5.9 million more dollars to get knocked out of the 1st and 2nd round of the playoffs almost every year we could be proud of ourselves. Congratulations you get a Biscuit! The underdogs  can’t wait for the Crosby Pussy Cats aka Code Pink to get to town. Here Kitty Kitty. Go Pirates!

    Jesus, racism sucks.
I guess you also need a white qb and a white coach to win, too. If it all comes down to having black athletes, then why do so many majority black schools have losing programs? Inner city Houston schools should be collecting hardware every December.
This has been covered a million times.

Simple, gene pool. In a lot of the cases involving the small schools, no one leaves the area. Past great athletes never leaves the town. Raises his/her kids in their home town. Continuous cycle.

14.2 is just upset because their school district is broke.  Maybe they have to hitch rides to the Boneyard?
Chron.com quoted Crosby ISD as "on the brink of insolvency".   Much like 14.2's sanity.

I don't get the vibe that people hate y'all because y'all are good like I feel she was implying.
I feel like people hate on y'all because as a collective, you may be truly the most annoying group of adults on this site. I know PNG fans are annoying, Kronos is hella annoying by himself repping for PAM, WOS posters who aren't old enough to remember losing can be annoying but you guys are on a different level.
You have your own nickname. Everyone refers to you guys as the "Mecca" from how you carry yourselves and brag in your posts, even the mods who run this site, from what it seems so it seems you guys have been annoying people for years. 14.2 seems to be the posterchild of annoyingness lol.

Ned isn't claiming to be the regional standard with a bunch of 1st and 2nd round exits.   And Ned has been to the third round way more than once in 60 years.

I team with speed and no self control has trouble with Vidor. What have found is to sit back and let the play develop. A team with speed most often overruns the play and plays right into Vidors blocking scheme. Just MHO....
