    The Bulldogs ecked out a close win last year, finally stopping the Pirates win streak against the Dogs (only 1 game, but that’s a win streak against Ned lol).

    Okay, should be another good Vidor vs Nederland matchup.  And Vidor doesn’t have to water the field.  Both teams are used to playing in the mud, the blood, and the Gatorade. :) 

    Had to start the rivalry thing huh.....

Galloway made some really nice passes but crucial penalties caused long down and distance. Which forced the pass into coverage resulting in some turnovers that they scored off of, he was also under a lot of pressure from the BH defense. Dahlenberg ran hard and had a nice long catch, he's had a strong season thus far. I’d say our offense held their own tonight putting up 34 points but we needed the drive at the end that died inside the red zone.     The defense has some injuries but fought hard with a lot of young guys playing and getting valuable experience. Some of our offensive players helped out by playing both ways with some situational substitutions. The defensive front was able to get some pressure in the backfield, we had several sacks and tackles for loss. We did better defending the pass tonight with tight coverage but gave up too many long runs in this game. We just can’t seem to get off the field and get a critical stop late in the game when we have to have it.

    Nederland is going to be a tough game, it looks like they have it rolling again this season. This is one hell of a district and it’s shaping up to be a down year for us but next season we could fair a lot better. With the youngsters we have getting a lot of playing time now and with the stud senior quarterbacks that every other team in the league has moving on, there is still hope on the horizon in Pirate land.

    Well the only way I see them having a chance is a shootout cuz one thing I know is if you don’t know our offense then it’s very hard to defend and I don’t think they do. And if we were able to hold roschon to a few stops last night then I feel confident in our defense getting a few stops against their qb. So I’ll keep it to this

    vidor - 30’s or 40’s 

    sante fe - 10’s or 12’s

Vidor played lights out against Crosby and hung , although Crosbys starting qb was out and that made a big difference. Vidor came out very flat against png and shot theirselves in the foot to start out the game  with  png who had their starting qb which is a highly recruited qb and still hung. Vidors offense can only be stopped by Vidor. Both Crosby and Vidor are better "TEAMS" (notice the emphasis on the word team ?)  than png. All png has is Shug and thats it and nothing else. He carries their weight on his shoulders and I give him props for doing so. I know some will disagree as they read this through homer glasses but Im giving a honest anylysis of what I saw.
