ethe I know MB is a die hard Indian but if they offered him a reassignment he should tell them to stick it. Whether anyone thinks he is a good head coach or not his overall record and background speaks for itself.

This will not be a route. No way, IMO Nederland does have issues with the run game and that is no secret. They are still a good team. I have made a few post about Nederland's "D" but never mentioned a kids name or a coach for that matter. I have been following the Dogs for a long time and I just feel like if you know the run is coming and you put 8 or 9 in the box you should be able to stuff the run. You have to be able to do it to make any kind of run in the playoffs. I predict a win by the Dogs. 38-21

Brubaker, I know where you are coming from and I agree that CO smothered everyone they played. But I will say that would have been tough against this group of kids from Lumberton. I would predict a Bullpup victory but I do not forsee a shutout. It would have been nice to see the outcome of that game. I guess we will have to wait till next year. :-\

I thought vicious hits were what players were supposed to do? I would prefer to hear of "clean, hard hits". Vicious just has undertones of uuuhhh, well you know...DIRTY, Malicious, intending to cause bodily injury. kinna unsportsman like...don't you think?? Oh my, you are being "offended" by adjectives! Vicious can't be used to describe a hit? Maybe we should just play flag football. Not offended by words in the least. What bothers me are hits placed on players that are done with the sole intention of injuring them, sometimes permanently, or dirty hits done out of revenge for a score or big play. Please read what I type with misconstruing it. When I played, every time I made a tackle I was trying to put the running back out of the game. Come on,this is football. Geeeeeeeeeez ??? But you kept missing and that's why you were the first Sr. to ever play on the JV. Just kidding, I don't even know who you are. I just couldn't resist. Have a great day. 8) ;D

My understanding is..... In the eyes of the UIL, the "official" title will be District CO-Champions with Livingston BUT In the eyes of football fans everywhere, it is understood Lumberton is the sole district champ since its owns the head to head with Livingston. UIL only uses head to head match ups for playoff tie breakers and playoff seedings. Glad to see a Lumberton fan acknowledge that in the eyes of football fans everywhere, it is understood Dayton was last year's sole district champ since it owns the only applicable tie breaker with Lumberton and PNG. Negative, Lumberton beat dayton last year. Positive, lumberton beat Dayton, PNG beat lumberton, Dayton beat PNG- The head to head cancels out- The next tiebreaker is point differential, which Dayton won. You can't just use the parts you like. That is true, but point diff isnt used for many reasons. Some never take out their starters and try to score 100,others are very conservative with the lead and dont care how much they win by when the game is in the bag. And you should have said affirmative in response 8). You are right about the point diff, but it is very problematic for many reasons. Wins/Losses are the gold standard. Who cares, its all about the playoffs now.

Lets get something straight. I am not a PNG fan. Just pointing our the facts.

He is a Division 1 prospect. No Doubt he is. The knock was on the Dogs "D". Running backs just seem to make a habit of having career nights against NED lately.

One correction, CO Wilson has played their second team at least one quarter every game. Some games they played most of the second half. That has been going on for two years now. And it shows when the back-ups come in. They look pretty good. They have had that advantage because of some huge leads. I did see your line coach sitting their at half time while the other coaches were talking to the kids in the end zone. I can surely say that is the most pathetic thing I have ever seen in my life. That, in my opinion is enough to smoke MB. The Athletic director is over all athletics and that is completely unacceptable. you mean to tell me the coach was sitting down at half time. that is terrible, give me a break so what that he was sitting down His team was getting it handed to them by about 30 points. They couldn't even make a first down. The other two coaches were in the end zone talking and coaching the kids and this clown was sitting on the bench on the 50 by his self. Maybe that is OK to you but if its my kid playing on that team, it is unacceptable. Maybe he was day dreaming about coaching at a program that wins year in and year out. Maybe he was thinking about the good old days when PNG used to win alto. Maybe he was saying I wish we had more talent or he could have been wishing that you were down on the field coaching with all your expertise. Or Maybe"texans" you are that coach. :o

No offence to Hanna, he is a fine athlete but Nederland's defense makes most running backs look like Division 1 prospects.

IF thes boys skipped practice to go to an NBA game then it is a MUCH bigger problem than a one game suspension-------they have no respect for the coacing staff, their team mates or their community---IF THIS IS ACCURATE then I would suspend them for the balance of the season ouch.... i think that's a little extreme. I see where you're headed with them thinking they are bigger than the TEAM... but.. I think Larry did the right thing. If you suspend them for the playoffs you are punishing the rest of the team. Give the boys a chance to redeem themselves after this week and bring your best team to the playoffs.

Sounds to me like yall are missing the Dayton game not to see Nederlands improved offense but to see what Lumberton really has. Someone seems to be a little worried about the first round. :-[ Worried...uh no. Wanting to see what's making such loud noise in East Texas...well a L-Train makes a lot of noise and Nederland has offense coming out the ears. Plus, wouldn't it be fairly ignorant to predict a winner when you've only seen one team play? This way I'm justified next week when I say we're going to clean the field with the L-Train. Sounds like a good reason to make the trip to NED. It may be a little crowded but Lumbertons side will have plenty of room at halftime after the Dogs show em whats up in the first half. That L-train will be sputterin!

Burnet is not going anywhere. They don't have the giblits across the tracks to make a change. They ran the best (or second best) coach they ever had out of town after two years in Danny Malone. They want a home town hero over there. Moody---He is probably going to be kicking cans down the road. Thompson will probably leave on his own.
