All jokes aside, I’ll bet a home playoff game at the Reservation would be an experience that would beat the socks off any game played in a 1/4 filled Texan Drive Stadium.

i agree. i was just thinking though, who on that team stood out head and shoulders from everyone/anyone else. seems like they played great together (team ball) as well from what i was told
 

My understanding is that 5 of the starters have not reached legal driving age.

i recently moved to liberty to be closer to my job in mont belvieu and have decided to put both of my kids in Hardin. my baby girl is in junior high and my boy is going to 4th grade. hardin seems to be a good fit for us at this time. i met some of the coaches a few weeks ago and i like what i hear about the AD and administration. from everything i am told, they struggle in football a bit. 

Why? That's not softball and never has been softball. The sport revolves around the BEST pitcher on either squad shutting down the other offense. It's been that way since the 1970's when the sport took off.  Do you want other players on the football team to play quarterback, or other players on the basketball team to play point guard ? Your post makes absolutely ZERO sense regarding the sport of Softball.
 

No, there is absolutely zero reason to have a pitch count in softball. There is zero documentation on excessive pitching resulting in arm injuries for the ladies. I have coached softball for 34 years.

when was the last time HJ hired a black football coach? just curious
and maybe i am wrong, but didnt duane joubert play college football and was a stud athlete at HJ (qb) back in the early 90's?
once again, i know he has done well with basketball but its my understanding that he is football guy 

if HJ does not hire or "seek to hire" Duane Joubert, well.........shame on them

There is no business to put out there.  Parents were mad because of this or that, the loudest mouths won out.  It is what it is.  But the truth is, Bennett is an exceptional coach who loves those kids.  He has had numerous opportunities to go elsewhere but has stayed for them.  Yes, he knew this was probably coming, but the timing was unprofessional.  The kids will be fine, because they have the heart for baseball.  PROUD of my husband and his accomplishments, his integrity, and his love for the game.  

I’m not judging Jones. It’s the whole Kirbyville higher ups especially  that superintendent 

Jarrell and Westwood serve match up problems with their height. Jarrell is the best team in the region. Pollock Central next round will be a test, two outstanding scorers. EC could make it to state, or lose next round. They have a tough road. LaMarque in round 3 will match up athletically. 

i didnt realize the comment was just for varsity. i was under the impression we had 3 basketball kids that would play baseball, whether that be varsity or jv, i am not aware. 1 standout baseball player for sure. sorry for the confusion

I was told last night just one also.  
Evadale will do well in 2A.  They looked very good.  The starting pitcher (I think 18) is a big kid with good power.  He should have a good year esp if he can learn to ignore whats going on around him and control the emotions.  Well that is if the coach does not blow his arm out early.  I have never seen a kid in that much pain left in the game to pitch.  

Yea #18 is Parker Moye his shoulder was bothering him , and I agree about the emotions, he was out of character last night, but is very competitive. 

That’s not a very good argument. First off, the “average homeowner” typically doesn’t pay the majority of these taxes. The average homeowner owns a moderate house that enjoys a homeowner’s exemption. The guy with the $350K+ house will be paying a lot more than “coffee and doughnut” money. Even harder hit is the guy with multiple properties or a business owner. So, while YOU might be giving up a dozen donuts a month, there are very real consequences for people who have made better financial decisions and consequently have a little more “skin in the game.” 
The schools always stand ready to accept any donations that you should voluntarily choose to make, my generous (with other peoples’ money) friend.

I grew up there. And honestly a lot of times it’s kids that move away and come back in High School. But we have gotten a couple . I’d like to say no more than any other school that has a successful program though.

i suppose following "your shot" is a myth too ? nothing more irritating than a fan yelling at the kids to follow their shot the whole game........kinda like in baseball "rocket fire" or the famous "squish the bug". i know i took this off subject but i do agree with mr. old school here on this subject. we "evadale" are good because we have some pretty good hard working kids.
