  1. Don't bet against Duane's star guard Collins who is in Hardin who knows how to win and how to beat Duane, even in Kountze (ex. last year)
  2. if Hardin had a 6'9 move in from Nairobi kenya, they'd be contending for 2nd place as well. or a guard from Beaumont West Brook but they just have 5-10 regular joe's who aren't very athletic so 4th will do just fine if you ask me. Yes, I am joking.
  3. That makes sense now that I go back and look at Hardin's district opponents over the years. It still blows my mind that a town like Winnie can be "smaller" in school enrollment than a town like Hardin. The math does not quite add up for me when you look at the two towns.
  4. I thought Hardin / EC and Anahuac have been in the same district since the beginning of time. Yes, I am exaggerating but they have been together at least the better part of 30 years.
  5. Guess we will know more Friday when Hardin hosts Warren
  6. My apologies. 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2014 are the playoff appearances in the last 20 years. According to the banners hanging in the gymnasium. But, still......not a lot to hang the ole' hat on in regards to basketball in hardin america. According to one source, they advanced to the regional tournament in 2001-2002 season and fell short to Frankston in the Regional Final - but the banner in the gym says region quarterfinalist -which is incorrect. Duane Joubert was the Basketball coach during this run in the early 2000's - who I did not know coached at Hardin before going to Kountze.
  7. So are those actually starters or are they kids who are/were in trouble and never played all year / won't play all year ?
  8. Nobody says it's a great year in Hardin. Nobody is on this site asking for poll respect for Hardin. It's Hardin for god sake. If they make the playoffs in basketball it's the first time in 10-15 years.
  9. And if Warren loses to Hardin on Friday? Then what....Warren would need to lose more games in order to get better, so they would not lose to Hardin?
  10. The point is they played a tougher schedule last year and they still did not make the playoffs. They did NOT play GS last year and lost by 54 at EC. They played GS this year and lost by 50. Anybody else getting this? It's Hardin we're talking about by the way. Is AAW on Warrens case about who they have or have not played and why they haven't been relevant in BASKETBALL in 15 years like Hardin has? Nope. We just want Hardin playing tougher competition in non-district games so they will have some L's on the schedule and we won't have to discuss at all why they are 18-3 or whatever they are. Am I right ? Thought so.
  11. I'm not sure I understand why you want Hardin to play teams they can't beat ? What good does that do for the program? They lost to West Hardin who is 2a, so who should they schedule (larger) than West Hardin in order to lose a bunch of games so the coach can get run off or disappoint the community or parents of players. I just don't comprehend the suggested idea that any team needs to or MUST play up in order to get respect so they can finish 5th or 7th in their own district and miss the playoffs again? Please help me understand.
  12. Last year Hardin lost to East Chambers 101-47 but did not play Good Samaritan. Should they have played GS last year in order to not get beat by 50+ ? Asking for a coach
  13. Who did Liberty play to get beat by 56 ? Liberty should have played more Good Samaritan teams to help them prepare for East Chambers as well, right ?
  14. Money wins championships. Who backs HP? Jones. Say nothing more. HP dads can afford the best PT in the state = Rings
  15. I am still trying to figure out that call. I went back on my DVR 17 times to figure it out and there's nothing there. Also, a bad call was made during the Grandview/Malakoff game late (Defense simulating snap count) - late in a game with marbles on the line - thats not a call you make. Outside of that, the officiating has been very solid so far in Arlington.
  16. Mason wins Newton wins by 12 or less Grandview / Malakoff is a pick'em but I am leaning toward the Zebras.
  17. Canadian rented 6 of these to take to Arlington.
