  1. Coaches care about their record. Yes, I care to do good at my job. Trump cares to piss off democrats and do a good job. I am sure you care about your job. We should all care a little more about our jobs and do good jobs at our job. Yes, jobs are important. Good lord that statement is compelling.
  2. I thought he was doing a wonderful job two years ago when they were 5-12 and defeated East Chambers or last year when they were 12-12 and defeated Kountze. I was more impressed with that, when I heard of it. I didn't see it, but it dont take a genuis to figure out he's doing a darn good job in Hardin
  3. They played hard two years ago and missed the playoffs. They played hard last year and missed the playoffs. They are playing hard this year and may make the playoffs or they may miss it again. Nobody THINKS they are BETTER than before or worse than before. The only people crying about the 19-3 record is people on this website. NOT one person believes they are better than the TOP 3 in this district.
  4. Hell Coldspring even has a Brookshire Bros
  5. yes Cape Royal golf club - and they have a down town with a court house / two restaraunts and a grocery store which is ALOT compared to Hardin
  6. Buna has the ole' faithful papermill and Hwy 96 for commute
  7. Yes, but you are not taking Industry into consideration when evaluating these Hwy's and Interstates. Drive thru Coldspring and Trinity and tell me (Do they look like Hardin who has a redlight, dollar store and a mexican restaraunt ? No, they have businesses, golf courses, grocery stores, etc.
  8. I lived in Buna for 12 years. Buna is nothing like Hardin.
  9. Coldspring ---- Hwy 59 Anahuac ---- i-10 Orangefield ----- i-10 Trinity ---Hwy 19 Tatum ---- hwy 43 Groesbeck - I45 is 15 mins away Lago Vista - I 35 is 15 mins away Paradise and Boyd --- are very close to Hwy 287 with tons of industry Commerce - 12 minutes from i-30 Denver city - surrounded by a booming oilfield market with TONS of industry All of these towns you listed have industry to some regard and a major highway, interstate within 10-15 miles of its location. Name one 3a in the state that has the geographical makeup as Hardin. Trust me....you can't. I have tried many times before with very thorough research. There's not a 3a town in the state that requires its students/parents to drive past 4 other ISD's to get to its own campuses........27 miles away at the north end of its district. That makes up 30% of its enrollment. Trust me......there is not another district in the state thats even remotely comparable.
  10. You guys had no business in 3a - no matter how you scheduled your pre-district games or not. nothing was going to prepare you for UIL 3a.
  11. Not sure....haven't been here long but I have a buddy on the coaching staff. He says we have been without for 4/5 years now...and from what I can tell there are only 1-2 athletes at the lower levels and none in junior high. You have to remember, Hardin is in the middle of nowhere and does not have any industry or a major highway anywhere near it UNLIKE EVERY 3a D1 team in the STATE.
  12. Yea, heaven forbid EC lose to the whiteees from Hardin. Poor officiating was the case. Understood.
  13. Home cooking ? How's that possible? The refs were from Baytown chapter, no? EC has a clear advantage in the home cooking referee department sweetheart. That don't explain defeating Kountze at their place does it? You lost to an all white, nobody able to touch the rim, extremely non-athletic team in Hardin. Relax
  14. Hardin lost 7 seniors from last year.. and Jv was below .500.. maybe Coach Collins thought his team needed confidence going into district play.
  15. As stated, if you look at the original schedule, you'd see that Tarkington & Fannett are both there. Both cancelled on Hardin in consecutive weeks. Also, once again...this team lost to West Hardin, so let me ask you....who are they supposed to play to get better if they can't beat WEST FREAKIN HARDIN....
  16. Also, 4 of those games would not have been played had Hamshire & Tarkington not cancelled.
  17. And to validate your point even further, Warren and Kirbyville's tougher schedule enabled them to defeat Hardin, right ? No, it actually went opposite of that so let's look back at all the non district schedules and make note of where it helped anyone prepare for their district because that is what matters. This has everything to do with it bothering some that Hardin is 19-3 and not 3-19.
  18. What did you think of Collins non-athletic Hardin team two years ago beating EC or an even less athletic team last year beating Kountze at Kountze last year? What about this years non athletic team who lost to 2a West Hardin defeating Kville and Warren who are both far more athletic ? Maybe it's just the coach in Hardin? One thing is certain, it's not athletes. He's got 10 white kids who are not selfish but hustle their nuts off. I'm sure he'd like to coach an athletic team one day. I think there's one athlete in 4th grade so.....yea
  19. Define challenge? They lost to 2a West Hardin. Some of you are still not getting the point. Who do you want Hardin to play in the area that is the same size relatively ---so they can get better by taking a 30 point loss? When you stack wins, you expect to win and when you expect to win, you win games you were not supposed to win. We're not talking about contending for a district championship. We're talking about limping into the playoffs. Something Hardin has only done 7 times in the last 20 years. Not exactly a basketball dynasty folks.
