Danny I’m afraid you’ve got it twisted here. You have no idea who I am or what I stand for at all. I have played football with guys you might know Jason Carter from Caldwell, Texas and Billy Pittman from Cameron, Texas. They might be a little older  than you but those are some friends of mine but I’ll call them acquaintances now because as life happens we lose contact. First off don’t ever call me racist because I’m the last person on this message board who’s racist. I have family in PAISD who have played football for PAISD. My children are 3/4 Hispanic. Also my playing years were over in fall of 2000 when I broke my ankle playing college football. I did come home at 19 years old coaching The line for Pop Warner Football in Nederland, then after I got married I helped start a football league in Lake Jackson/Clute Texas(which was a blessing to see numerous young men put what we instilled in them to become college prospects as they came up through through Brazosport ISD system), and then I coached in Conroe in which I had the blessing to coach my nephew(again had the blessing to see numerous young men put what we instilled in them to become college prospects). The only reason I say what we instilled in them is because that’s what each one told me when we would go watch them play Thursday and Friday nights as they grew up after we were finished coaching for years. I DON’T SAY THIS BECAUSE I’M SOME AMAZING COACH BUT IM SAYING MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY AND WHO I AM ISN’T WHO YOU THINK. My oldest played in Orangefield when the group of freshman and sophomores now went through the program. That group went to 7 semifinal games, 4 Super Bowls but lost to a great group of WOS young men twice. When I coached it wasn’t about where my son played. Also my son played center every single year of his youth career because that’s where his team needed him. He didn’t like it but he was taught it’s not about what you want it’s about what your team needs you to be. He played his heart out every game. He was an undersized center in height and weight. Now he’s earning his Old English N in Nederland. When I coached It was about putting the best athletes in positions to be successful. We also taught them we are not just a team it’s a brotherhood that will last for years to come. I taught them you play for the person next to you because we are family and family doesn’t let each other down. So no plays off. We also taught them football techniques, gaps, holes, assignments, and could run a no huddle with them running 6-9 plays straight. That’s been my coaching philosophy and that was instilled in me in 7th grade by the great middle School Coach from Nederland Jack Lynch. I coached 1 year in Nederland on a great Pee Wee team but got beat by the better team you were coaching I believe or maybe even helping in the Super Bowl. I commend you on what you’re doing for those boys, your community, and teaching those boys the game of football you love. Which I am sure they are loving just as much. Congratulations on another Super Bowl victory. Just FYI my thoughts on a message board has nothing to do with race at all. It has everything to do with seeing kids in all organizations within STJFL having games turned into hot messes by coaches, parents, fans, and refs. I’ve umpired baseball for 18 years now and stopped being football referee when my oldest started playing. You know what ruins youth sports? UNEDUCATED PARENTS on sport rules and parents who believe little Johnny is better than he really is. Also I’m not a Nederland Senior Coach. My youngest son played Nederand Youth Football on the Senior team. He was their starting center and defensive tackle #77. He was center all but 1 year in youth football. He was undersized for those positions but I would say he held his own against bigger and stronger talent. In my opinion the success of your youth program isn’t super bowl trophies but what those boys learn from you the coaches to carry with them into school ball. Then how They grow from there. I apologize for my comment PA middle school that’s on me. Like I said I feel bad for those boys because they deserve a season. Let’s Fellowship I’m down with that myself. Last name is Delahoussaye feel free to message me. My issues have nothing to do with Racism, BLACK/WHITE, or me being a racist. If you have any questions please message me personally.

I couldn’t agreed more and Juan is scared of PA. Wonder why PA runs the ethics committee. Because they are 75% of the ones that have issues week end and week out. I’m sure that’s why Fisher likes being over it too.

If it doesn’t matter then why do Head Coaches, Offensive and Defensive coordinators, and not to mention position coaches travel to JV games? JV matters because you have to reload not rebuild. You have to see what you will have next year and see if those JV guys who are scout team all week can take what they learn in literally 1 hour 1/2 athletic period while Varsity watches film on Monday to practice their game plan. After that they are the team Varsity is playing until Thursday night. Any coach I’ve talked too cared about what is happening from Middle School, freshman, and JV not just Varsity. If your Athletic Director and coaches aren’t vested into the athletics programs as a whole then why coach in the first place. I commend all the wives/dads and kids of coaches for allowing them to do what they love. Yes it takes time away from the family. What I’ve always noticed in the communities I’ve lived in? Those wives/dads and kids are at the games supporting their wives/dads.

D.C.BULLDOGS reacted to olddognewtricks in HF vs. Nederland Sr team!
I've watched a-lot of youth football this year in Nederland and in other cities due to family playing. I think people saying they have mouthy assistants need to adjust that comment. I have seen a-lot of mouthy assistants throughout the STFJL games this year. Also including so called "YELLOW BADGES" during games in all age groups. I looked at conferences and BIG SCHOOL has 4 teams in it. I mean everyone makes playoffs and Non Conference means zero. I think they have lost twice this year to WOS 25-24 and HF 23-13. WOS and HF will play each other in small school Super Bowl, HF #15 should be playing JV as an 7th grader and Varsity as an 8th grader for East Chambers. That kid is good. Let's not just say it is Nederland with mouthy coaches though. I've got plenty of video of head coaches and assistants screaming across the field. Doesn't matter who does it first either because two wrongs don't make a right. Good Luck to everyone this season.... I know it took a lot of hard work and effort just to make one happen. so kudos for that!!!

I don’t know much, but one thing for sure is I wouldn’t take much stock in a scrimmage,in Nederland for sure the coaches use mostly new kids to see where they can be plugged in and help the team, they know what the returners can do.So not looking good in a scrimmage doesn’t mean you won’t have a successful season. On another note from what I’ve seen so far, this Nederland team has the possibility to be one of the better teams in a while, that’s if the sophmores step up and can handle Friday nights, this isn’t Thursday anymore..Anything is possible it’s a long season!!!!Strange things happen, with that being said,Nederland has the potential to go undefeated and the potential to be sitting home for the playoffs..Lets get this thing started, football season is finally here..Good luck to all players and coaches for an injury free and successful season!!Adults remember one thing, this about the kids and just gives us something to do by watching them play the sport they love!!!

Update on a fluid situation: Based on some new information, I would go ahead and consider Calvin Hill to Crosby a done deal. Crosby may have lost Craig Williams but we just picked up Austin Walter 2.0. Based on the work he did in 21-6A as a junior I would expect Hill to average over 200 rushing ypg in the new 5A-D2.

The Ned-W -PA game was a very good game. In the end our game plan was to grind it out and a turnover inside the PA 15 and self inflicted penalties got us behind the chains. Port Arthur doesnt miss tackles and has great team speed. Boys played great on both side. Port Arthur coaches were respectful and professional. Im sure we will see each other again next year in the playoffs. Of course I'll be pulling for Ned-B, but good luck to both teams! And I just want to add Nederland has a team in every Superbowl besides Sr. Go Bulldogs!!!!

Did you ram it down our throat? I mean when we are playing back ups on defense on both of your scores. Also how many times did you stop our offense from scoring? Also please remember things could have gotten worse. Our head coach is running plays to make sure kids only get 4 to 5 yards. He’s showing some coaching etiquette by not using quote “one trick pony” How many different backs ran the ball for nederland black? I counted 8 different backs and 3 were linemen. Also Refs stated coaches we are running the clock and don’t expect flags because this game is over. so don’t point out the false starts, holding calls, and etc. so does the score tell the tale yes it does because nederland black beat nederland gold 36-13 today. In reality it just didn’t happened. Let’s just leave as we did on the field. Bulldogs left the field of battle and Bulldogs are still Bulldogs. Now let’s cheer for each other to have an all Nederland super bowl and show our dominance. All this go between is retarded. We are all for one and one for all are we not? We should have one goal as NYFA. Let’s get as many of teams in our organization in each division to learn the game of football correctly. If they make the playoffs and are successful. That’s a testament to the coaches, assistant coaches, and players hard work. As an organization let’s show up and support them if it is at all possible. All our boys will be playing under the Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday night lights together. Sorry I’m long winded. Just FYI this is Jerett Delahoussaye and I am a coach on Nederland Black.
