Prayers for the young man from Coldspring.

To be honest we are all pretty dillusional to some point.  We all think that our teams are gonna win week in and week out, but the fact is that some schools in the area really think far higher than what their team can actually do.  That makes them more dillusional.  I'm not gonna name any, but I can think of a few especially in 22-3a and 21-3a.

I dont know if it has ever happened in San Jacinto county.  We just cant get Shepherd to play along.  ;

I dont know much about C.E. King, but they are a bigger school and it will let us all know here in Coldspring where are Trojans stand for the next three games for sure against some mighty tough teams.  Maybe not Marquee but a very good game to start the season.  If anyone knows how to get fox sports to do one of those DQ big games of the week we should contact them to do the Navasota/Coldspring game the following week.  That should be a great game very early in the season. 

The Trojans should be very good again this as Coach Barbay does a tremendous job and the offseason program is probably one of the best in the State.  We are deserving of the ranking at this point, but it is based off of last season.  We will see how good we are early on as we face two of those top five teams and two in class 4A.  I would love to see a matchup between Coldspring and WO-S in the playoffs again it should be another great matchup as I'm assured they are much improved and very strong again this year.  Should be a great year in 3A.  I think the field is wide open.

Huffman fans say the same thing every year.  Y'all are always better than last year but, until you beat Coldspring your the same as last year district runner up.  I really believe we make another long run this year.  If that non-district schedule holds up we should be well prepared for the long season. 

I gotta at the Coldspring vs. Bellville playoff game that went to overtime.  I was on the edge of my seat the entire game. 

Great post Grad.  I really appreciate this place and everything everyone does on here to make this site what it is.  I would have to call this the #1 high school football site in the nation.  If they gave out Emmys for sports sites SETXsports.com would have to get one. 

Which game was the best of the weekend for y'all?  I thought it was awesome all three days and that all classifications of 11 man football got to play on tv.  The best game for me was the Refugio vs Cisco.  Came right down to the end.  Was very awesome weekend though. 

It has been another great year.  I have really enjoyed talking football with all of you all year.  It really is an awesome site.  I have to thank all the guys at SETX for all the hard work u do year round to make this thing run so smooth during football season.  I don't know any of you personally, but someday it would be great to all get together and hang out.  I know sometimes things get heated on here because our passion for our schools and communities, but that is what makes it so great.  It is our passion for Texas High School Football that makes this in Texas the best in the nation.  I have had people laugh at me from other states because I follow High School football and I just think to myself they don't even know what it is about.  I look forward to talking about my Coldspring Trojans again next year and hopefully making another long run in the playoffs.  I look forward to chatting with you all again in August.  I don't get on much in the offseason.  I will probably come by in Feb. to see the realignment.  Untill two-days have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and see ya for Texas High School Football 2012.  Should be another great one.

Someone please start a countdown clock for next years season to begin.  I cannot wait.  It has been an exciting year of high school football.  Even though it did not end as I had hoped it was exciting none the less. 

That would put him in the same district with South Lake Carrol wouldn't?  That would be very interesting going against his old team and good friend Hal Wasson every year. 

I agree Trigger.  It tore me up watching them win the title. Especially knowing we had Wimberley on the ropes in the fourth quarter.  We just gotta make it over the hump. 

Congratulations to Wimberley.  Y'all are the best in 3A Division II this year.

Yeah it would have been great to make it back to Dallas.  Seems like we have been close a few times we just can't make it over the hump to win the title.  I know one day we will get it.  I think we are gonna be very good again next year.  Only time will tell.

This game is driving me crazy.  Especially knowing one play here or there and we could have been in Dallas.  Both teams are playing outstanding defense. 

Wow that was a great game.  The best out of the title games so far.  Too bad someone had to lose that one. 

I just want to say I'm super proud of the guys.  They did another outstanding job this year.  I hope Coach Barbay stays around awhile and becomes a legend right here in Coldspring.  I truly hope that we can keep Coach Morrison around. He is an exceptional Coach and defensive coordinator.  I have been a Trojan all my life.  I lived and breathed just like these boys.  I know how it must feel.  It has been an exceptional two year ride.  Last year our team was on national television.  Who would have ever thought the Coldspring Trojans on national tv.  We got to play in one of the best stadiums in the country.  We have been really close in our history to winning a championship.  We just can't seem to get over the hump.  I know with Coach Barbay here we will eventually get over the hump and get that coveted title.  I want to end by saying congratulating to Wimberley on a fine game and win.  Should be an exciting title game between y'all and Argyle. 

Cmon on Trojans let's finish business.  Go Trojans!

Nice news piece.  Now channel 13 needs to do a piece on us about day by day.  I think it is similar.  We got unfinished business and were primed and ready to finish it.  Go Trojans!

They really should have played this game in Kyle Field.  I know the game site is closer for Wimberley, but is there gonna be enough roo
for everyone that is going.  Seems like a small venue for this big of a game.

Well hopefully we win Friday and the we can put it all on the line against y'all and finish business.  I really think this team likes the challenges more than anything.  First thing first though.  We got to take care of Wimberley.

Yeah I have seen highlights.  I know y'all are good and very athletic, but that does not mean y'all are unbeatable.  Yes I have been on that other forum.  Just because Gilmer and Carthage fans are stroking y'alls ego because y'all beat them dont mean y'all are gonna win.
