Thats right.  I know everyone wants to get back to Dallas.  I'm really looking forward to it.  We have to focus though. There are going to be some bumps in the road.  Let's take it one at a time boys all the way to Dallas.

If Liberty is thinking they are gonna beat the Trojans to get into the playoffs they are way off.  There is a better chance of Tarkington beating Cleveland and I really doubt that will happen.  One thing is for sure I will get to see a State Championship caliber offense in action this Friday.  I don't believe it is gonna be the one from Liberty either.

I tell u what impresses me the most is the o-line.  I thought the group last year with CJ, Matt, and Caleb were phenomenal.  This group though seems to be much better and plays very tough.  Very impressed.

Your right I have not seen Huffman play this year.  I have heard enough on here.  I have seen the Trojans play though.  From what I have seen is that it will be very tough for any team in the state in 3A to beat the Trojans much less Huffman. 

I will say this the Trojan defense is better than last year.  They put a lot of pressure on offenses.  I don't think Huffman will have quite the success they have had throwing the ball.  The offense is more well rounded than last year.  I'm telling the Huffman fans this in no disrespect to y'alls team, but this Trojan team is on a mission as well as the coaching staff.  Last year they got a taste of a state title.  This year they want it bad.  If ur standing on the tracks ur gonna get run over.  I think it will be close early on, but the Trojans will flex their muscles and it will be over with. 

I wish I could make it to this one.  I'm glad we got this game before the playoffs.  We really need a tough one.  We also need to face a passing team. I really feel like we will win it, but it will let us know where we need to improve.

I was there during the era you just mentioned and my brother was there in the early 2000's. That was all they done was run the ball.  I'm sure prior to 1990 that was all they did also. Not much said about the school prior to 1990 and Coach Peveto's arrival.

I figured we would have had a closer game by now, but when u hang half a hundred on everyone and no one is within 30 what can u say.  I'm sure there is some teams in the State that could challenge us, but it is not Huffman.  Our quick scoring and their throwing helps them stay in the game for a little bit, but it may be over at the half.  The Trojans are on a mission this year and they are not gonna be happy until they are in Dallas holding up a trophy. 

Great point about the defense.  The offense has been stellar this year, but the defense has also done exceptionally well.  I don't believe the Trojans have given up over 100 points this year.

That would be very interesting if Shepherd beat Liberty.  I would love to see the cross county rivals take Liberty down.  Unless you have not heard though Liberty has a State Championship caliber offense.  So this could get ugly for the Pirates. 

The big question is containing Coldspring.  I don't think Cleveland can contain Coldspring.  I think it will be a tough game to start out with, but the Trojans will run away with it at the end.

In 3A and lower it is really tough to just stop.  I mean the number of kids u have is very low. I'm sure Coach Barbay does not want to just run it up.

Wow what is going on over in Shepherd tonight.  That would be a huge upset if it happens.

Very nice win for Lufkin.  That one was really close at the half and it looked like The Woodlands could just run up and down the field in the first half.

Why was the kid even on the field if he was ineligible?  I don't think you can be on the sideline or ride on any atheletic bus if you are ineligible in Texas. 

I wish Tarkington could and would beat Liberty.  I'm so sick of Liberty people getting on here and making excuses about losses.  Tarkington is in a tough district and they have absolutely no size.  I feel really bad for those kids.  They have to take a beating nearly every week.  It is not because they don't work hard.  They guy that compared Liberty's offense to Coldsprings must be out of his mind.  That would mean Liberty has a State Championship caliber offense.  Well I tell you what at the end of the season they will get to test that offense against a State championship caliber defense.  I can't wait to hear the excuses when it doesnt work out so well for ya. 

My son would be super excited to go see Mark.  He is a huge WWE fan.  I had forgotten he was from Silsbee. 

I dont understand the the weak schedules.  You have to schedule teams for two years in a row.  I'm sure at the time the teams that were scheduled by the AD's were some what descent.  It is the same way with Coldspring.  Last year Kirbyville was a very legitimate team, and this year they are not playing very good and lost a ton of talent. 

What is great about this is there are a few more Monroe kids that will be coming through the program for some time.  Their dad does a great job coaching the 4-5-6 year olds.  I think Colton gives the Trojans a real threat anytime he touches it.  He is not quite the grinder that Cody was, but is very talented and and has great speed.  He also does a very good job on defense.  That is where he really excelled last year.
