Whoever that was that said Irvine was as good as Sherman Gilbert is way off.  Irvine is a tough between the tackles runner, but does not have nearly the speed or athletcism as Gilbert.  If you think he would of been the diffrence against Coldspring you may want go back and watch the tape of the game. 

The four teams that won out of the district last night will be the ones vying for the playoff spots.  Coldspring should be the top team.  We looked pretty good last night.  Still some work to be done with the o-line.  Defense is as tough as I have seen them.  A good test for us will be in a couple of weeks against Crockett.  Huffman, Cleveland, and Liberty will battle for the other two spots.

Are y'all serious most small Texas towns shut down on Friday nights. I know in Coldspring the only thing open during the game is a gas station and maybe brookshire bros., and maybe the hop.  I think many towns in Texas can be compared to Friday night lights.  The movie was about Odessa Permian, but at the same time the movie is the epitomy of high school football in Texas which is almost bigger than the NFL.

Coldspring is one of the top ranked teams in the state and will stay that way the entire season.  Yeah our track record against Kirbyville ain't strong, but who cares.  Those games played last year or four years ago don't mean crap come Friday.  Not sure what Kirbyville has back, but I know y'all lost a lot more than us including your coach.  I think it will be a learning year for y'all with ups and downs.  I think we should beat y'all.

I love football and especially high school football because it is football at it's purest state.  At this level the kids that play love the game more than any level.  I'm so thankful for this site and everyone that works to make it happen.
