Got 2 questions? 1) Does anyone remember the blocked xtra point against Central when PNG ran the ball all the way back to tie the score and put the game in OT which led to a win? 2) Does anyone have a video clip of that play or highlights from that game? thinking circa 2007

Another game to put in that PNG memory bank. Great crowd which was loud all night, Defense played a great game they didn't dominate the LC team but they made some great plays and beat a very good team, interested too see stats, particularly on LC's #21 compared to his stats in other games. He's a real hoss and will be playing at the next level if he wants to. Their coaching staff made some good calls ( I was impressed with the screen on the goal line the guy was wide open fooled everyone ) I've seen a lot of great high school games but this an instant classic on a perfect night for football, thanks to both of teams for great entertainment.

because of some band contest??

I don't recall all of the details but it seems like the band was late to the game in 1999?? at Texas A&M for some band contest?? reason and the crowd went wild when they showed up that's when (I think) Dustin Long and company upset SA Schertz?? didn't play ball or in the band (too lazy and undisciplined for either) but I think the football players' adrenaline goes up when the band fires up on Cherokee

Any suggestion of getting to the stadium without going on Beltway 8??

Whew! that was tough, how many pages was the hill is for real thread? I can hear the announcers Friday night, 3rd and 2 Indians in the I pad formation a formation that they implemented this week seems to be working well for them, there it is again that 'screen' pass if they keep this up the Eagles are going to get 'screen burned', looks like the 'key' to this formation is to have a good interface between the coaches in the 'press any key box' relaying ....

I had to wait til this morning to comment. I wanted to digest it all. My main take away from this game is how much I admire Nederland's whole package. Ya'll are a class act in every way. There are too many things to list them all, but I find myself hurt that beating Nederland leaves them out of the playoff picture. I by chance ran into number 10's mom at Chik fil A Thursday night and found out that her son was a receiver for the 'Dogs and I thought well ok, but man that young man had a heck of a ball game. I told her I hated that if we beat Nederland it might keep them out, in the name of full disclosure, I told her don't misunderstand me I want to beat Nederland. MCM is the best sporting event that I have been to in my life. I have been to many MCM's but the last few years have been the most classic run in my life. Oh yeah one other thing, thank you BF for kicking the ball deep most of the time.

Just got in from the game. I thought both coaches hurt their teams. Both teams are making too many mistakes for this late in the year. PNG coaching staff was a disaster during the whole 3rd quarter. Delay of game on a 2nd and 2 cause they couldn't make up their mind what to call. Ran QB too much going to get him hurt and cost big time in the long run. he's a heck of a player but he should not be running the ball with a 14 point lead and 4 minutes left. If I never see another Pooch (Puke) kick on a kick off I would be happy. gave the ball to Central on the 40 yd line one time on a kickoff. Central player took a Puke kick for about 25 yards so they started on the PNG 35 yard line one time. PNG won but it was not a pretty win. Central found out way too late that #12 could get outside for 20 plus yards only ran that 3 times. Just disappointed in the play of two teams that have a lot of potential

If Memorial band would learn the old TJ fight song that would cause mass confusion on PNG's side with all the TJ transplants. They wouldn't know who to root for.

Just spoke with one of the dads from the team. After 0 to 0 score after 2 overtimes. PNG advances by winning 4 to 1 in 'shoot out' they are way excited. Everytime i talk with team parents they comment on how much the wins are a team effort Wooohoooo!!!!! for these girls
