HD played well in it’s 1st scrimmage, even without a few top starters, the 2nd scrimmage they didn’t play as well, still missing a few top guys. Can’t help but wonder if Dawson at QB full time, with Sellers at FB would be special. Dawson is dynamic with the ball in his hands, Sellers is a bull with the ball, coupled with a huge O-line, TE Drake and Weeks on the edges, HD could make defensive coordinators have nightmares. Jeremiah Lofton and Chris Warren will drastically improve the HD team once they are back! Jeremiah is explosive! Warren, Cayden Robinson, Dylan Scott and Ford on the O-line are huge and athletic! Connor Drake may just be the District MVP, if not Dawson. Coach Birdwell has every kid in school wanting to play football, the sideline is stacked with players, they just want to play for him, upper class man that have never played, have come out, just goes to show you the kind of great man Coach Birdwell is. Summerville is no powerhouse, but they will be no push over, HD will need to come out fast and focused to win. HD 20 Summerville 18

Friday the 13th: Hull-Daisetta vs Kountze/Tarkington, in Kountze 5pm.

You think you do? HD has tons of locker room material on D-ville from the ref that got reprimanded after da protested game to da basketball game disrespect that went down. Yep da head ref was found to be crooked they investigated and he was written up the other refs that called da game with the this head ref stated they would never ref with him again. Da UIL was able to find many discrepancies in the calls after watching film. One of the most lopsided called games ever UIL could see the calls not called both ways, and calls on HD that never would be called the other refs stated they were in shock of all the flags the head ref was calling on HD. HD has all the locker room material!

I personally know ole 55 he got a ton of passion for dem Bobcats I call bull on you saying dem coaches stay far away from him, I’ve was with him a few days ago with Coach Finney called and Hodges I know for a fact most ole HD coaches stay in contact with 55.

Da Hodges era was average, he definitely wasn’t Coach Finney or Coach Copeland from the past. Hodgy wasn’t a players coach at all, but he held players accountable and always did da right thing. Dis HD team has 2-3 seasons of being real good, loads of young talent. Da new HC will be very successful starting off.

Braedyn Rayon from Hull-Daisetta was named All-State.

Losing 3 Seniors, 2 were starters.

Tough decisions were made tonight, HD’s 2 top players were in foul trouble, Rayon and Broussard, Rayon for most of the game, how long do you wait to put them back in. There is no right move in real time. I was thinking they would go in to start the 4th period, to keep us close on the score board, and not get down to far in the hole, as Port Aransas was on a run. Rayon was out since mid 2nd period. We waited until 2 minutes gone in 4th, it was 2 too many... We were leading the whole game, until early in 4th period. But nobody plans for foul trouble. One of the top athletic performances and coaching displays in HD basketball history. We are proud of y’all players and coaches HD Nation! They knew HD was there!

I’d say you are the Karen, digging for all that, lmao. That just may be the definition of Karen hating LOL. Whose to say Flatonia and Mumford’s coaches didn’t pushed to play because they felt their team was hot and peaking? Seems like many teams around the State actually played without long breaks, just like Flatonia and Mumford. As far as the 17 point thing, Mumford hitting 5 three pointers in a roll 15-0 run, right after halftime, when HD’s up by 1, is way more of a statistical event that doesn’t usually happen, kinda like Mumford going 11-14 from 3 point land in 2nd half. It’s all about how you look at the situation and the results you want for your argument Kyle! 😜🤷🏻‍♂️ HD Nation looks to take down another 20 plus win team! Round 4!

Was was the other fortune events? Besides hard work and grit.

HD I think just got off to a very slow start, COVID was a big challenge, like it was to most. And I think some teams got in their head early on and in District, and matched up well with this young team. HD has just got better every week recently. It helps to have an All-State type player in 6’4 guard Braedyn Rayon, and some of those young athletic football players on the court. The next 2-3 seasons at HD will be fun to watch in all sports.

I seen they were ranked, Flatonia was ranked #11, HD shocked them! That is why they play the games. #7 or #11 not much difference. Go Bobcats!

If you haven’t had a chance to watch this HD team play, it’s a treat, lots of grit, especially as the season has gone on. 6’4 Senior Braedyn Rayon is one of the top players in SETX, kid dropped 32 points on Mumford in the 3rd round. Rayon is averaging over 25 points a game on the season, from his guard positions. Rayon was an All-Region selection as a Junior. Definitely has earned being considered for All-State. D-2 college player for sure, fun to watch.

HD looking to upset another team with over 20 wins this season. Mumford comes in at 25-6. Flatonia was 25-3. HD could use Dawson Victorian the long 6’3 Freshman athlete, on the boards and on defense in the middle this game. At least move him up for the bench, to add depth.

These young Underclassmen HD have are special talents, Braedyn Rayon the Senior will play D-2 college ball, very good player. Can’t wait this coming football season, these Underclassmen gonna be even more nasty! Dawson Victorian the Freshman is a D-1 football player, hopefully in basketball he evolves, freak athlete with measurables.
