So this is "Kipp Sunnyside"? Not Houston Kipp or Kipp Christian? I think there are several Kipp schools in Houston. Supposedly Kipp Sunnyside, is not the worst one of the bunch, but none are real good. HD should roll, especially getting back lots of starters, the rankings will start to change in our District soon, especially during District. HD 32-6.

HD getting back starting dual threat QB/LB Landyn Sellers, RB/CB Tyler Thibodaeux, Lineman Dylan Scott and Chris Warren next week. HD will be pretty good come District.

The decision to ever start the current backup QB, says a ton about our coaches... It's like we are playing 10 vs 11 on the field, no brainer to put one of your top athletes at QB until Sellers returns, heck there is literally Anders, Dawson, Tyler Thib, Isaac Garcia or Drake that would be decent at temp QB. Is there issues with the remaining staff and Birdwell, fans are not seeing any interactions on the sidelines?...

QB Sellers will return next week vs Houston Kipp, he has been injured all year. Sellers can throw and run, good dual threat. The most alarming thing about the HD team and staff this year, is definitely the effort/details not being there it seems. I have yet to see any coaches on the sideline, proactively going over to a player or players, and coaching them during a game, it's non existent, is it just me or do most coaches get involved with correcting a bad technique or just talk with players, mine did when I played, I got grabbed by the face mask a few times by a coach and talked with. The players and coaches just have not been fired up, very little emotion shown. Also, the little things every week, o-line not firing out together and fumbles all the time... I think HD when healthy, will be in contention for the District title, but man does it look and feel different right now, maybe a win vs your 100 year rival helps the culture, winning cures everything. Yes, HD has played 3A teams, yes lots of injuries and sick kids, out scored like 74 to 6 in last two games, offense averaging 3 points a game... I look for TE Drake and WR Anders to be big targets for QB Sellers in the passing game, when he returns vs Kipp, with Dawson Victorian and Jerimiah Loften featured in the backfield, HD will be a good balanced team. HD probably would be most potent with running Anders and Drake both at TE together (double tight).

West Hardin actually looks improved from last year, they can throw the ball, the QB is a good player, starting RB is a big back, tough and athletic, they like to spread you out. #8 and #24 for WH are players! HD's defensive coordinator will hardly ever call a blitz, when teams spread HD out, he likes to match up... When a team spreads you out with 4 wides, there is nobody to protect the QB, bring the heat. HD has a huge o-line, they need lots of sledge work. If HD plays like the last 2 ball games, WH wins by 12. WH's #8 is an athlete, #24 is a bull, HD may have their hands full. HD will have to pressure this QB, he can throw. HD's CB Jeremiah Loften would be a good match up for WH WR #8. We will see if HD can bounce back.

Danbury dominating, it should be a lot worse score. HD missing Sellers at QB bad. At this point, without Sellers next week, West Hardin wins. Not impressed at all with our execution, preparation or basics.

That is part of having a passionate fan base, coaches at the schools of the blind don’t have to worry about it lol. To be honest, some could use the advice. Suck it up, all our jobs have critics.

Wedgey, I don't thank one person, or a few, expressing he needs to tighten up, means he is a poor anything lol. A true professional could give two craps about a football site with passionate fans. For the record, Coach Birdwell is beloved and adored my all HD fans and players.

Let's not forget what happened with a player you mentioned in your post, this year in Colmesneil... Anger and fighting has got the best of a few players.

I hope you are right. Anders is a good player, especially on defense. Jeremiah Loften will definitely start at FB, kid is physical and athletic, Anders will move back to WR, although I think he makes a better TE. Starters will be Dawson at TB, Tyler Thib at HB, Jeremiah at FB, Drake at TE, Anders at WR, once QB Sellers is back, pretty good group, HD will be rolling. Oh by the way, don't think Anders had 125 yards, HD may not have had 125 total yards as a team lol. The O-line was terrible and Dawson hardly got the ball at all, Coach probably didn't want him hurt. Danbury is a 3A school...

If HD loses to a 1-8 team, it's because of Dawson Victorian and Jeremiah Loften not getting the ball.

Bottom line, Coach Birdwell has to put his best players in position to be successful. Dawson Victorian would currently best help the team at QB, kid could be a high school version of Lamar Jackson. Also, no need to making Jeremiah Loften wait to start at FB or in the backfield somewhere, kid is explosive and physical. Lastly, a now healthy lineman, Chris Warren has got to start on both sides of the ball, it will give stud Dylan Scott much needed help. HD is running out of excuses, get the studs the ball! Yes the starting QB is still out with injury, the current backup should be Dawson, no question. If HD can't make the proper, basic position adjustments, boy we are in trouble. Keys to beating Danbury, Dawson touches the ball 75% of the time, Jeremiah gets involved in the running game and Chris Warren gets cut loose to make plays.
