I guess the Warriors should just stay home, they would get about as much credit. Fact is Warren has had a pretty solid little ball club ever since Coach Wofford took the reigns. I'm not sure how the second half will play out but I do know the boys will be prepared and will give it everything they have. If the rest of the district chooses to keep "handing" them victories I'm sure they will graciously accept the gifts :)

Bone you keep implying that the Lions "gifted" the Warriors the game because you guys had some errors....last time I checked errors are just as must a part of the game as hitting, pitching, stealing bases and so on...Warren won the game by coming into your house and getting runs off of your two top pitchers (by whatever means necessary), playing solid defense and by good pitching......Kountze had an opportunity in the bottom half of the 7th but failed to execute...then we defeated a strong Buna club a couple a nights later with pretty much the same strategy....like I said in earlier posts I really don't see a whole lot of difference between the current top teams in this district...7 of the 8 teams can beat any of the others on a given night...second half will be exciting to watch and it would not surprise me to see Kirbyville make a strong charge push to grab a playoff spot...too much talent there not to..( they waxed us good the second game of district!)

Warren - Team to beat right now, steady and simple and just getting it done.
Kountze - Flashes of dominance followed with glimpses of doom - if they figure it out, they could take control
Buna - Pretty much the steady eddie of the crowd, whether you love em or hate em, they are 5-2

Warren is a good team.  Our wins were not by accident or because the other team had an off-night.  Warren will take this 4 to 2.

Remember that all of us that ended up on the bottom of the district started the season wanting to be where you are at now.  Enjoy the ride and keeping it rolling.  Kirbyville, Buna, EC, & Kountze you are now representing the entire District as well as your town.  Best of luck to each of you.

Exactly! This was an awesome game to watch. An amazing effort by both squads! I'd put this rivalry up against any other one in the area!!

Woodville finishes up the season over .500! Finishing with a record of (6-4)(3-4). Warren finishes with a record of (1-9)(0-7).

This game was a freakin war from the opening kickoff! Both teams came out fired up and it stayed that way the entire 48 minutes! Stands were packed on both sides until the final whistle. I am honored to say I am part of such a great rivalry game!

Warren's record does not do justice to the amount of improvement they've made. They are a very good, young football team and will only get better. They run that Slot-T very well. And they have the fight of any team in the district! I expect them to compete much better next year!

Woodville completes the season with the first winning regular season record since 2012. Great opening season for Coach Waldie and this brand new stastaff and capped it off with a huge win in an amazing rivalry game! I expect Woodville to come back strong next year with another year to learn under this coaching staff! Great season Eagles. Now get to work for next year.
