Yeah me too. He's got the Hill finishing behind Lee, Vidor & Dayton. Seriously ???

Santa Fe  was 4-4 last year, but their losses were to Manvel, FB Marshall, Texas City and Galveston Ball.   Manvel went to state,  FB Marshall was 9-2 and made it to the 4th round, and TC got knocked out by PNG in the second round.  Ball made it to the second round before losing to PAM.  So their losses were all to playoff teams that made at least decent runs.

I know Barbers Hill's superintendent is going to be upset.  He almost had a coronary when they had to play Vidor on a grass field with 2 to 3 inches of rain.  He'll really poop when they go to Ned and it hasn't rained in a month and the fields muddy.
Think I'll be a Big Bulldog fan when they play.  

So many rivalries.

I think Splendora only won 1 district game in the 2 years they were 5A. It was a fluke win against Dayton.

They should be the French Buffaloes. Bring back the faux Buffalo Bills unis.

Unless you're rooting for Newton, WOS, or maybe PAM, PNG, Westbrook, or Crosby, it would be foolish to expect a state championship atm.

Partly true. I think 14.2 rubbed most everyone the wrong way with his overwhelming flow of arrogance. For years, at least two I know of, he got on here and constantly raved the nobody in the Region could compete with Crosby. It was "Crosby shouldn't be challenged or pushed until so and so". Then, Crosby would be bounced in the 2nd Round. Then he would follow it up with, well that school should be 6A or something like that.

Well using texbuzz's scenario for 21-5A, and my 22-5A prediction of 1. PNG, 2. PAM, 3. Nederland, 4. Vidor, here are my predicted matchups:
5A DI:
PAM vs KPark
NC vs Ned
5A DII:
PNG vs BH
Crosby vs Vidor

It is far too early for this conversation, but...at this point, I (and just me, I know the teams aren't) am looking at playoff placement.  I think Crosby and New Caney get in.  So is Crosby D1or D2?  Preference is D2.  That is answered by the attendance of the other two.  The only others with lower attendance are:
Barbers Hill (2-2) - 1527  Dayton (2-2) - 1494 Splendora (1-2) - 1106 From the comments of many here (you guys are solid, right?) Kingwood Park could possibly get into the mix here.  They bump Porter or BH.  Both scenario's keep Crosby at D2.  
Ok.  I am looking at it again.
Porter - They have 2 winnable games (Hum, Splen) on the schedule.  3 tough ones (Day, BH, NC).  They finish 4-4
Dayton - Beat Porter, Lose Crosby, Lose Kingwood Park, Beat Caney Creek.  They finish 4-4
Kingwood Park - Beat Caney Creek, Beat Dayton, (this is where I see the error of my 3-5 prediction), Beat Splendora, Beat Humble. They finish 5-3.
Barbers Hill - Beat Splendora, Beat Humble, Lose New Caney, Win Porter.  Finish 5-3.
Top 4 based on this scenario is -
Crosby (8-0) New Caney (7-1) Barbers Hill (5-3)  Kingwood Park (5-3) This....this is why this is so dumb to talk about this stuff halfway through the season.  Too many things to get sorted out.  And I can promise you I will be back for more.

You do know that the 2nd round also has a couple of State Title contenders in Manvel and FB Marshall, and don't count out FB Elkins.

Anytime The Hill and Dayton meet expect a showdown!! Dayton may not be firing off on all cylinders and the Hill may be dealing with injuries, but from the stands you will never know it. My prediction – One Awesome Game..

Now I found out that Dayton and NC may be choking against their opponents. Boy this district is going to drive me to drink.
