RealMcCoy got a reaction from gogo1734 in Kirbyville investigation
Uncle Pig would be correct. The student that was supposed to have gotten 22 pops only got 4. 3 of those were for F bombs. The coach who supposedly gave him 19 only gave him 1 and it was for an F bomb. Multiple adults and students have verified. Some people just ignore the truth.

Just to add some fact instead of talk.
CJones. 27 years coaching football, 8 years DC Pleasant Grove, personal coach and mentor of linebacker Lucas Wacha NFL. Played strong safety at UAM one the defense that still holds the record for the most interceptions and best defense in school history. I believe that is the only football team in UAM to advance to national playoffs in their history. Coached linebackers at WOS and they went to the state title game. His strongest reference for AD and head FB coach was Cornell Thompson. Kirbyville has placed in the bottom 2 in team track every year for the last 3. So much for speed. The author of Purple Pride Never Dies commented "Kirbyville is playing harder than ever, they are on the verge of coming back". These are undisputed facts.

Your choice.
But it's a business, school, public and private entity to have the right to require a mask.
No different than the "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy.

Agree 100%
It doesn't matter what we think about the virus, we're not in charge.
If we want football (and other sports) to keep going this year we're going to all have to follow the rules set in place whether we like it or not.

The number 1,2 and 3 returning running backs are not playing because of Covid. They have chosen virtual learning. Neece knew the talent that was coming when he left. We are close to turning it around. If you think coach Jones is baseball only or that he doesn't work round the clock for football, your a fool. Just ask Cornell Thompson his opinion.

Sold our soul. That's beyond foolish. The great Jack Alvarez took 3 years to have a winning season and he sure didn't have over half his team as sophomores. We thought we had more talent than that then too. I was one of the parents with a starting sophomore. Fact is we are a total of about 8 plays from being 4 and 2 but it's always that way when your rebuilding. Only 2 coaches that I know of have ever completely turned a program around. This coach has the same drive and work ethic that they do. They both took 3 years to get to the playoffs. It was explained to me very well by a waitress this week end. She graduated from Kirbyville about 20 years ago. She said she went to the community pep rally and was amazed at the size of our players. She said " I am bigger than most of them boys. They are tiny". We all have our ideas of change or different things that might help, but the truth is none of us has any first hand experience at it. Our staff has over 100 years of it. They work 7 days a week. Everybody said when we were on the hunt for a coach that we would give em time. After the hire we gave em 3 weeks. When you degrade the program publicly as with this forum, you hurt Kirbyville. If you truly have a problem, get an appointment and go talk to the man.

If WOS gets Craig Jones, within 2 years everyone in that district will regret it. He is that good. Hard nosed, but good.

RealMcCoy got a reaction from Speedkills in TODD DOUGHTY NAMED AS NEW HC/AD AT KIRBYVILLE
If you know any board members at KISD then you know that the superintendant was made aware that all sports should be supported. We all had our ideas as to who we thought would be the best pick. We however did not hear the answers to pertinant questions. With the superintendant having a son who will be a senior on the team and knowing that all sports count, I have to think the superintendant would certainly have chosen the best fit he possibly could. There is no way he would chose less than the best overall fit for his own son, a college prospect in football and a basball player. So let the work begin. With us loosing several football coaches, I hope we can keep a great football coach, I think 10 years a 4A DC and mabe the best baseball coach in the state, Craig Jones, on staff.

My bad on Barbay, he did win 2 state titles in power lifting while in Kirbyville. My point is, good ones don't grow on trees. When you get a shot at one, take it. If it costs a little more, pay it. Or watch em make magic somewhere else.

I guess Kirbyville will benefit from some more Jasper transfers. I know I wouldn't want my kid playing baseball there. They have other agendas than the best they can do fro the baseball program.
