Because our band doesn't play the national anthem (it's always sung acapella), they didn't have the music. However, it's clear that your ONLY reason to be on this site is to denegrate other teams. Obviously there is nothing to be excited about in Barber's Hill, but if the moderators really want this to be a positive board, they'll see your true colors before long. You know your "players" couldn't hang with the Stangs, so you insult the band. Even mentioning the Liberty kid is out of line. These are HIGH SCHOOL KIDS who are putting themselves out there on the line to sing the Star Spangled Banner. You're just a jerk who will do anything to embarrass and degrade any school but your own, including dogging those kids who are risking real embarrassment. You should be proud.

The football game years back in which Ozen was eliminated DID have a controversial call in the end - one in which the refs later admitted making a mistake. Let's not trivialize that. I'm a PN-G supporter, but this is a goofy thread.

I know you hate WO-S beyond any reason, but refrain from insulting actual players and kids who sing the anthem. That's classless beyond even your standards. You can attack the team or the fans, but these are kids who are playing (and singing) their hearts out. When someone mentions that a player was offered by a college and you ask if it was "by the band," you're crossing the line. If that is your plan here, I think there will be quite a call to have you banned. Beyond that, it crosses the line between stirring up mess and being a crappy human being.

Let's talk about fans who need to stay off of the juice: BH fans started the "hating," not WO-S fans. BH is a team to which we, otherwise, never would have paid a lick of attention.

I certainly haven't seen a Huffman person post that on this board. I HAVE seen a Kirbyville person who played each team post that BH was "a joke team." We beat Huffman by 20. You beat them by 14. We outgained them by 290, while you only outgained them by 67. You guys have been bounced in the second round by a - no offense - second-rate team at best. It's time to face facts: You're pretty weak.

I think his point is that WO-S beat them by almost 40, and so did Jasper.

BH fans started the "online rivalry." Why would WO-S fans pick on a team that we've never played and rarely heard of? Puhleeze... talk to your boys Jody and Rbarker. They started this. We just laugh at y'all.

hehehe... Yep... Jasper, Silsbee, BC, Kirbyville and Orangefield have already called and conceded, so you can tell your players not to bother preparing for that game. We really don't have much coming back this year anyway. You know, Beasley is gone and he was all we had. So consider the WO-S game an "off week," everyone.

Oh, I'm just goofing too... But you guys should take some consolation in just coming in second in district to us instead of exiting in the first round against us every year... I'm kidding, of course. I can't wait for the season to start. It should be an exciting one!

I root for Jasper, but you guys lost four games last year, including two to your new district mates and one to a team that we stomped. Not a lot of fear going around. I like Jasper. I respect Jasper. I'm certainly not intimidated by Jasper.

There is good news here for BH. No matter how hard they might lobby, the UIL will NOT allow Kirbyville to compete in the 4A playoffs. Therefore, BH is safe from that humiliation this year.

OK... My point is that you have more wins, but a lower winning percentage than WO-S in the games you've played - and you're only up by two wins. My argument is that the word "better" isn't necessarily accurate. A "better record" doesn't necessarily mean more wins. After all, a team that has played 20,000 games might have 1,000 wins, but big whoop. My argument is that 13-6 is a better record than 15-10. Look at the percentages.

You're the one who won't just allow a WO-S fan to marvel at the fact that we racked up 8 wins in two appearances. What makes you think I "can't stand" that? I stated that without even mentioning the other teams. I have no problem with those teams having more appearances. Heck, Jasper and Newton have been in the finals during that stretch, and Newton has won a few titles. We were in the finals in 2000 and the semis this year, so there's no jealousy here. I was just showing some pride. I think there's somebody else who "can't stand" seeing others enjoy success. Ok... That's what I did... Wait... Make up your mind, here... Are you sure it's a "better" playoff record? Um... Our playoff record over the last 10 years is 13-6 (68%). Nederland's is 15-10 (60%).
