    1. He has a home in Beaumont

    2. There's no guarantee Silsbee is making a deep playoff run and making a deep playoff only benefit the school and coaches.

    3. As I've stated before Lil C wants to go to UT so how does going play in a lower classification help his cause?

OF. A while back I was told by a recruiter from Mississippi State. that school classification or size dosent play that big of a part in finding good athletes. Years ago yes it did. the bigger schools normally  played on the bigger stages and against better opponents but in the technological era we have today with hudl and youtube and all the other stuff. along with camps It dosnt matter where a kid plays. Bottom line is if the kid has talent they will find him. If what was stated earlier about his home being damaged in Bmt then I hope coaches at ozen will look past football and do whatever is best for that kid and his family.

  2. Lil C. is an awesome athlete and one of the best RB in the entire houston area  but IMO so is Adonis Thomas! Lil C is going to be a great asset to the team but its not guaranteed he will be the starter or get as many touches as he would at ozen.  But this would be the best backfield in the state if we use a two back system more. Jones Thomas and Tyler would be hard to top!!!

  3. I got a chance to see the Bmt middle school tournament for the last two years. it is some good players coming up not sure where all of them are zoned to or will be allowed to go but if they end up with boutee westbrook may have something special. Just asking. where are the most talented middle school basketball players gonna end up for high school. IM glad we dont have to compete with two other in district schools. Perks of a small district i guess.

  4. All of this could be off season rumors to ruffle feathers and attempt  to gain more exposure for the kids mentioned. Parquets could be staying at HJ as well as sneed to Ozen. notice no HAWK faithful have said much on this topic. Where are Lazeek and nash. If the moves are in affect Parents please do whats best for your children just make sure they don't loose a year of eligibility. Playing at a school you don't like may be more beneficial than not playing at a school you love. Make sure the move is for family reasons and not political. Politics will be apart of there lives from now own teach them to handle it and not run from it.

  5. This is a good move by the community and school district. If the district has money to use on turf and TAX payers don't mind the increase then its a good move. Most teams in playoff situations look for the best stadium to play in and turf is more neutral than grass in my opinion. In the long run this will be a good financial move for the raiders. Hope to catch a few games there next year.

with Saladin and Roberts graduating, next year's HJ team (and the year after) are shaping up to be entirely Parquet's team.  I would imagine it would be similar to when Bosha was there and everything went through him the last couple of years.  There might be some belief that HJ doesn't have a real great chance of making a playoff run the next couple of years, but realistically, i don't see Kelly making one either.  They were vastly improved this year, but still struggled against the big schools in district and the playoffs. Family could also be the driving factor behind a possible move.  It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened.

Why is this a belief. Its obvious they will loose alot in graduation and even more with parquet leaving but There are still some really good ball players at  H J. Quality returners from varsity. few more injured players and add in the few from the JV and 9th teams and Coach Davis will be set. They will be a very young team. but hey look at the best team in SETX......The showed us all year long that youth means nothing:) Had to throw that tiger love in. I only hate HJ 2 r 3 times a year but love them otherwise.

  7. I didnt think you were posting anything negative about the family... And the purpose of my statement was that If money was an issue(even if illegal scholarships were promised) why in the heck would a talented kid leave a FREE state recognized basketball program to go to an     expensive  private school that is loaded with returning talent. He/them must think the grass is greener elsewhere. The only people that will really know the truth will be that family and the HJ Staff.  Like I said before Coach Davis is very capable of preparing the rest of his kids to become a dominate team again next year.  Just curious where would a kid get the most exposure HJ or kelly.

  8. If parquet is going to Kelly. I'm sure his parents are very well aware of the yearly fees and are able to pay them themselves.  I have had the opportunity of watching him play a few times since he has been at HJ the kid can flat out play. BUT and that conjunction is always apart of every conversation.  HJ has always had a great coach leading a great program. One kid can help a program(Kelly LOL) but one kid leaving wont be the death of a  great program. I'm sure Coach Davis is going to miss this kid but life goes on and he is very well capable of preparing the next person in line for the job. Good luck to the kid, Kelly and HJ.
