  1. 28-3 over the past two seasons, not too shabby. Credit the CS staff for getting the most out of these guys all year long. Credit the will of the players for believing and laying it all on the line every week. Credit the CS fan base for showing up every week (even in BFE last night and getting home at 2 a.m.). You guys represented the best of 22-AAA. But in the end, credit the Texans for making a few more plays. What a ride, and the cupboard is definitely not bare.
  2. just tired of every post being about Argyle, think he was just stirring the pot, Go Texans!
  3. Argyle might want to take a lesson from UH and not count your chickens before they hatch.
  4. Game ball goes to Mr. Alfred Scott. WOS was dialed in on Sherm early and Scott made several huge plays when the Trojans needed him most. He was the wrinkle that the coaching staff needed to advance and he answered the bell in a big way. It's not often that a game like this lives up to the hype, but wow it was all that and a bag of chips. Both teams left it all on the field and either one would have made our region proud. Thanks for a great show by both sqauads.
  5. I was pretty shocked to learn that Lorena only had 465 students. I remember them from the state baseball tourney a few years back and they were two-deep at every position and they gave the appearance of a larger 3A school.
  6. I hope that both teams come out and do what they do. It should come down to a few key plays going one way or the other. To me, not a lot of difference between the two teams, whoever executes better moves on. Good luck to both.
  7. Well, it didn't end like we wanted it to, but what a ride. The Ladyhorns did the community proud and have nothing to hang their heads about. To the two seniors, well done and we wish you all the best. To the rest, get ready to reload and make another run. To Coach J., not much needs to be said, the beat goes on.
  8. Looking back at the play-by-play on here. Coldspring attempted a 42-yard field goal late in the 4th quarter. It hit the crossbar and bounced back short. That was the first 40 yarder attempted by the Trojans since Moses kicked one over the Red Sea. I think it was Coach Morrisons' son that kicked it and it looked good all the way. Tooties' punt return was amazing, he picked up a short hop on the run at full speed, broke a few tackles and was gone. He is going to be special when Sherm is done.
  9. What a rediculous topic! Does it make you feel better to run another program down? I don't understand what these guys have done that is so wrong. They beat everyone on their schedule. Kirbyville has long been a powerhouse, Crockett is still going strong. All they can do is beat the people that are put in front of them. WOS grad hit it on the head, BC played a hell of a game, why not give them credit instead of bashing the Trojans?
  10. Yeah, and tjpitcher is my boy. His heart was about to pound out of his chest the whole weekend, thought he was going to have a heart attack.
  11. Biggest comeback in any sport that I've witnessed by any THS team. Dead in the water after two games, the Ladyhorns dug deep to somehow win game three. Played much better in game four and would not be denied in game five. Hats of to an excellent Bellville team as well, nothing was easy all day long. Rachel Sharp was a beast all weekend every member of the team did something to contribute. State Bound!!
  12. Lady Horns take games 1 and 2, Columbus roars back to take 3 and 4. Tarkington takes game 5, 15-13. Way to go Ladies!
  13. Working hard to find an opening kick-off that they won't run back. Got any ideas.
  14. Wow, didn't realize it was that even. Definitely no love lost.
  15. Was not referring to you Minuteman, was referring to Odessa.
  16. I smell a rat! Could this guy be a Libbadee backer just trying to make bulletin board material for his Panthers? Don't usually see people that over the top on here.
  17. Congrats to Jeff. Most would have probably tried to move on after Felts/Statum, but he stayed and did a great job this past season.
