You forgot Shepherd. They have one of the most dynamic scorers in the district in Everett and a tough home court to win at. Shepherd shot 25 free throws, Tarkington shot 2 and those two were with :08 left in the game. I don't know that they will make the playoffs, but Shepherd might spoil it for someone else.

Wow, what a night. I got to catch the first half of WOS and W. Columbia and the entire Coldspring vs. La Marque game. Our region is very well represented this year (not to mention Navasota). Whoever survives the region needs to bring home the championship. Fun to watch.

Wow, much props to my boy calling the plays for Memorial. In a game that nobody gave them a chance to even keep close, they almost slew Goliath. Just couldn't get over the poor special teams play. Good luck to LP the rest of the way.

You really can't appreciate how good Everitt is on film. He has a nack for being just fast enough or just accurate enough or just.... whatever it takes. Kid is legit and makes the guys around him better.

Huffman and Splendora are playing some teams now that they are almost double the size of. Six of one, half a dozen of the other as far as fairness goes.

I didn't get to the area until early 90's, and I don't remember his stats, but Bobby Constantine was a good one as well. Also a phenomenal pole vaulter.

Lots to be excited about in both towns. I would caution Horns fans to temper your enthusiasm just a bit (42 would be a ton against this defense). A win over Cleveland would be huge, no matter the score. At the end of the night, somebody is 1-0 and somebody is 0-1. They have a very good team and it will be a measuring stick for where the Horns are as a program. Best of luck to both and hopefully it will be a hard fought, injury free game.

Most interesting game of the opening week of district, this game will tell a lot about both teams.
