  1. Great post, rake. I had forgotten about the ground ball hitting the runner, that was big.
  2. Kid that relieved for BC was nails, very impressive. Wind left Huffman's sails with the two unearned runs in the third, can't beat a squad as good as BC with 5 errors. End of a super high school career for Listi, wish him the best at DBU. Cards have a solid club, hope they go all the way.
  3. Wow, I wouldn't have thought that the list would have been released until all of the district teams were finished with their seasons.
  4. So, does this become a one gamer, since they didn't get a game in by Friday night?
  5. After today's games, Splendora over Liberty and Tarkington over Shepherd, the third spot will come down to Liberty having to beat Coldspring on Friday and then beat them again in a tie-breaker. Congrats to Splendora and Huffman.
  6. That kid is going to be special before he is done, he is very impressive. Good win for Liberty, tough one for Shepherd. Crazy year thus far in 22-AAA.
  7. Really hope we don't get all the rain predicted for the next week or so, the start of district games for some might get pushed back or stacked-up, no bueno!
  8. Saturday results:  Liberty over Cleveland for third-place Splendora over Tarkington for championship
  9. I remember reading a report in December that said "Experts" predict drought will last for a decade. I predicted rain starting Jan. 27th.
  10. Big news should be announced this evening. By tomorrow morning they should be very pleased.
  11. Maybe the first time ever on Cleveland's home court. Horns beat them on the Prairie a few years ago and had them down at Cleveland but couldn't finish that one off. Great win guys.
  12. Early in the district schedule, but this is a big game for both squads if they want to make noise for a playoff spot.
  13. A reliable source in the district told me that Coach Haynes resigned at the board meeting.
  14. He was offered a job outside of education that was too good to pass up.
