It's been a lot of fun watching  Coach Fosters club the past several seasons. The have always handled themselves with character and class. Congrats on a fine season to both the Wildcats and there fans, who are also some of the best in Southeast Texas.

i think its stupid that Fox Sports SW would rather show .. Big 12 showcase , Mavericks Insider , followed by a Pacers vs. Mavericls game .. Since that is going to be more thrilling than possibly (probably) showing Big Sandy take home the championship .. FOXSW you suck .. and for that TWC Channel .. who actually has basic cable these days to get that channel ?? IF you have Dish youre only going to be able to see the 1A , 3A and 6A live ... you will have to wait until tues-thurs to see the others as they are scheduled to air throughout the week ( well supposed to according to the guide ) ... rant over  

Brownfield and EC will be a good matchup! EC wins if they don't turn the ball over like they did today.

The East Chambers Buccaneers look to take one step closer to the Texas Class 3A State State Basketball championship as they take on the Van Alstyne Panthers. 
The Buccaneers, 33-6 on the season and the Region III champs, began their playoff road with 67-39 bi-district victory over East Bernard followed by an 75-55 area round over Buffalo.  After dispatching Buna in the regional quarterfinals, 75-48, the Bucs took care of Frankston in the regional semifinals, 73-45, and then punched their ticket to state with a 71-69 win over Kountze in the regional finals.
The Panthers, 29-7 and champions of Region II, began their playoff road with a 79-58 bi-district win over Winona followed by a 97-52 area round win over Prairiland.  The Panthers topped off a 78-49 regional quarterfinal win over Mt. Vernon with a 57-44 regional semifinal win over Faith Family and 53-42 regional final victory over Life Waxahachie.
The winner of this game will face the winner of the 3:00 pm Brownfield/Aransas Pass game for the 3A State Championship on Saturday at 10:00 am.

Tomorrow will make my 45th straight state tournament attended. Started attending the state tourney in 1972 when I was 8 years old.
My goal is to make 50 in a row.
This will also be my 10th year as media. The EC and Silsbee game will be my 9th and 10th game broadcasted at state tourney. Hoping to do 11 and 12 this week.

Will be a rebuilding year next year, but give it a year after that and we will see.  It is a difficult task to replace this special group of seniors.  It will be a bitter sweet weekend if we can bring home the champ, but also knowing this will be their final high school games.

Got my tickets,parking pass, and hotel all completed!! Leaving tomorrow evening!! Let's Go Tigers!! Go get them Wildcats!! Beat 'em Bucs!!

After BS wins the Championship by 20+ all of Texas basketball will know who they are. This team is incredible

This is such a disappointing reality. Any journalist worth his or her salt would see the clear value and dynamic in a story of this kind, if they did just 5 minutes of research. There are so many story lines that could be highlighted and what a great feel good story it would be. It really exposes everything wrong with large scale media today. Big Sandy would have a better shot at getting covered by the four letter network than they would by someone in their own backyard/Texas. 

I guarantee you one thing, VYPE may not know who Big Sandy is but the folks in Evadale durn sure do lol.

Kind of like the VYPE magazine handed out at the HJ Marathon.  They picked the district champs for schools in the area.  I guess BS is not in their coverage area, because they picked Evadale to win district.  Not knocking Evadale at all, but how in the name of Hezekiah does that happen.  Must be new personnel at VYPE.  Been wanting to mention this for a while, but this seemed like the perfect opportunity.  We are fine with being under the radar.  If I am not mistaken, this is our 14th trip to the state tourney.  Bring it home boys!!!  See ya bright and early Friday morning.

After this weekend I'm sure everyone will know who The Big Sandy is!!
