Hey, I'm amazed and happy for y'all.  The more strong teams in the District, the better they'll all get.

I'll do my part.  Picking Iola  

HD has had a great season 7-2 and 4-0 in district. Other a win on Friday, HD gets the district championship! I got HD by 8

I'm not superstitious, but I picked Iola this week.  Only other time I picked a team I thought would lose was Nederland over Vidor.  I really thot Vidor would win, but whatever it takes lol.  You got it.  I'll pick Iola.  Going to be a great game.  Y'all home, right?  Chester86, in Iola, said we got a bad call last night on a very critical play.  That happens to often when schools are real far apart.  And C86 would not say that unless it was real obvious.  I see no reason y'all can't win this.

Like I have said many times, on paper Liberty is the better team. But what the paper cannot tell you (on any particular night) is who the better team is then. Yes fumbles, miss tackles, refs and all other sorts of things come into play. The team on that particular night that can overcome these issues, their failures and still put more points on the board is the better team for that night. NO matter what every person thinks and NO matter what the paper says. Last Friday Night HJ was the better team. They put (3) more points on the board than Liberty did. Do I still think Liberty is the better overall team, Yes but not last Friday Night. That's why you play the game. If the paper or fans dictated who the better team was there would be no reason to play the games and spend that kind of money on travel.

Of course, WO-S has lost games I thought they should have won.  But in those games, just like when they have won, the final arbitor of who is the better team is the scoreboard and I have many times said so following a Mustang loss.  The rules regarding how you score, how many points you score for a particular act, how the other teams get the ball from you, things that can prevent you getting points for a score have all been in place and have been universally accepted by all who have participated as the determination of the best team for longer than either you or I have been alive.
I've seen many a game where the "favorite" didn't win, yet in none of those games has the result stated on the scoreboard been disallowed by a sanctioning body simply because the "favorite" didn't win.  Have you?

HD 3-0 in district travels to BURKEVILLE this week, looking to stay on track for a district championship. HD by atleast 3 TD's.

Good for you. I lived their for 50 years and I have a few as well. 

Well if you've lived their 50 years then you've seen first hand the blatant disrespect the coaches at Hardin get from year to year.  And you may be on the front lines of the absolute zero community support.  
I'll give you a little hint.  It's not the coach.  And when your town blows through coaches like people change underwear...it causes the younger kids to have numerous different head coaches, expectations, accountability, coaching philosophy, strength program, offensive and defensive scheme....and so the cycle will continue.  Every time you guys run off a coach the younger kids suffer because there isn't any consistency.  
It doesn't matter who coaches.  Go through the list of applicants and pick the best one.  After that...do what it takes to keep them around a while.  If not...hey...y'all have been terrible for the better part of a century.  Why change now.

I have a lot of contacts in the coaching community.  I know more about it than you think.

I know that, it's sad a lot of those folks up there do not. They think the 14 points they got late in the 4th  was the beginning of a  dynasty.
