It's called confidence.. When you've already proven that you can move the ball offensively against the two better defenses in the district then you earn that right to be confident.. This will be a battle of which of our defenses can stop the other offense. Luckily we've been battle tested twice for this offense, bridge city being a very good test, so I think we should be ready for it. Discipline and playing your assignments and not paying attention to all the fakes in the backfield, that's what we need to focus on!

if yall need bulletin board material at this point of the season to get ready to play for your playoff lives then yall already lost.

I went an watched Ozen vs Central this year and would agree with you... Central's drum majors performance during the game and at halftime was better. Ozen's was very good as well though!

I betting our team will be there.

Every fan has an opinion of what the coaches should or should not have done in every game. That is all great and fine until someone gets stupid and does stuff like this. For every year since Faircloth has been at PNG there is talk of oh if the Indians lose, FC will be out of a job, yada, yada, yada. That in itself is enough stress year in and year out without people acting like idiots! This is on a complete different level than wrapping or forking or chalking. This was done  out of pure spite and to be hateful by a bunch of sore losers. It is a sad day when a small group makes everyone look bad.

You might notice that this thread has a few less posts in it than when you went to bed last night.
I asked nicely...some listened, many didn't.  So here's how it goes.
If I see any more posts which continue to bash the coaches (which I remind, AGAIN, is a violation of message board rules), they will come down.  If it continues. people will be officially warned.  If it continues further, people will disappear.
I'm not playing, guys!

Keep in mind there's a reason that were in the stands and not coaching...I do not agree with putting a for sale sign on a man's property that's just wrong...I do understand the PNG fans that are upset with BF its hard to argue 1-6 record vs. Nederland and a 3-5 playoff record but personal attacks on the man just isn't right...In my mind there's a simple solution to this its time for those PNG fans that dont like BF to use some of that honor and pride, go before your school board and tell them in front of everyone there that you dont like your coach.

criticizing a coach, and going to his own personal property is two completely different things. That's his house. I'm not saying they don't have a right to be upset, but that action is uncalled for. And what does me being from Lumberton have anything to do with it? 

But we did Win state 3 times and been to semi's many times and some of those were only when the DC got in. If that were still the case, Crosby would have sat at home last year. 

It's sad that this happened, but what's worse is there are actually people on here justifying their actions!! All over losing one game... That's what's wrong with this world and why things like this will keep happening.. Nobody deserves this, not even if they go 0-10 or lose 100 straight games to the same rival.. Just plain ridiculous and the people justifying it are just as bad...

Thats my whole point 24 its not worth getting shot over or arrested over violating this mans privacy at his place of residence. I just didnt want to say it that way!!! I also do not want kids that read this board saying look the adults think its funny!!!! Its not and its dangerous for you well being and your record.

If you're trying to question his performance,  you're making yourself look awful bad.  The man is a winner in every sense of the word.  
Some people could care less if PNG EVER made the playoffs,  as long as they beat Nederland.  But, how long would he keep his job like THAT?
Me?  I'll take the playoffs.  The Nederland wins will come in time.  He's still young.

I completely agree with what was said... Sometimes we forget that coaching is a job just like anything else. Mistakes are going to happen. If I was fired for the first mistake I made, then I wouldn't have a job right now. These guys are human, with wives and kids and bills and worries and regrets just like all of us... If people at work have an issue with me then I would hope they would come directly to me in a professional way and address it and not go around griping about it to everyone else. You can't truly understand what goes into coaching high school football unless you've done it yourself!

Not sure if I agree with your assessment, Big Ford. The problem isn't the offense. If it were, we wouldn't score 28+ points a game on most teams and average 350+ yards a game. We have a ball control offense by design. People would shut us down and limit us to 14 or less if it were. We scored 21 on you, 30 on Nederland, 27 on GCM, 26 on Ozen. I'm not gonna count Lee. We should win those games....

I agree with your last statement. If y'all are scoring 33 points a game on average, and still losing.... Sounds like offense is doing just fine to me. 

Playoffs on the line for the Raiders.... Noone outside of Lumberton would have predicted this at the beggining of the season!!!!!  What a turnaround!!! Congrats Lumberton!!!!   Can Vidor still get in if they win????

Raiders by 14... Defense playing awesome! Seems like our passing game is starting to click as well, and I don't see their defense stopping Rhodes. One win for the playoffs, even though we are shooting for two wins. Sure would be nice to knock off the District Champs too! But we'll just focus on Vidor for now.

At halftime, the only touch Duke had was on a kickoff and almost took it to the house.  No touches on offense until the 2nd half and it was only a handful at that.  GCM has to find a way to get him more touches.  He is a heck of an athlete in the open field. #12 had a good arm and was getting the ball to the receivers in the 4th.  Just a little bit too late.  The key to this game was the Lumberton Defense.  Shutting GCM out in the 1st half allowed the offense to just eat the clock in the 2nd half.  Other than #21 getting loose a few times, I thought the Defense played Lights Out.  Great win for the Raiders.  Focus shifts to Vidor now.   Good luck to GCM the rest of the season.
