The Rangers signed Yu to a 6 year- $60 million contract.  So with the bid that equals $18.7 mil a year.  Pretty crazy for an unproven arm. These foreign born, all world pitchers scare me.  Hopefully it works out for Texas.

Happy 70th B-Day to Muhammad Ali.  I was too young to see him fight, but grew up as a big boxing fan mainly from watching old tapes and videos of Ali. I really miss the days when boxers actually wanted to fight the best and didn't dodge fights like we have now.

It looks like the NCAA is about to ban 7 on 7 events from being held on college campuses.  The SEC passed this earlier in the year and according to rumors it will be nation wide soon.  7 on 7 has quickly become the AAU for football with all kinds of money being thrown around trying to sway HS kids. Is this that big of a deal?  What about the UIL basketball and baseball championships being held on UT's campus?

I've never been a big fan of Texas and A&M rotating years in this tourney.  Hopefully with A&M's move to to SEC, both teams will play in it every year.
