Not many huge upsets yesterday except DBU being exposed for the RPI fraud that they are. DBU and UC Santa Barbara were the only 1 seeds to lose. The 2/3 games were split 8-8. Florida won 19-0 which is pretty crazy for a tournament game with #1's on the mound. Games of interest today(for me anyways) A&M vs Cal- ESPU at 6pm DBU vs Texas- ESPN2 at 11am Houston vs ULL- ESPN3 at 7pm Arkansas vs Okie St- ESPN3 at 6pm #6 Illinois vs Notre Dame- ESPN3 at 7pm
A&M finally gets on the board with a 2 run HR by Nick Banks Ags lead 2-0 in the 4th Texas Southern pitcher is throwing a 67 mph knuckle ball that has made the Ags look silly so far
How many non qualifiers is that now? 4? Andrew King @Andrew_TFB 9h9 hours ago Sources tell TFB that despite signing w/ #Texas, DT Du'Vonta Lampkin is unlikely to end up at UT. More details here: [Hidden Content] …
Oregon State is a solid program with back to back titles in recent years. DBU doesn't play the schedule Texas does and is beatable. The 1st game is the big one for Texas. If they can keep pitching like they have been and win Game 1, I like their chances. Hopefully the weather cooperates this weekend and we can watch some baseball.
I was on Time Warner. FS1 switched coverage to Nascar Pregame. I finally found the game on FoxSportsSouthwest. Kirby threw well closing the game out after coming in in the 8th with no outs and the bases loaded. He's had a great Sr season after struggling his first 4 years.
Miami is on the bubble Ucla, LSU, Louisville, and Indiana are for sure. Miami, A&M, Florida, Vandy, DBU, Missouri State, and TCU are going for the last 4 spots
National seed just means that they are guaranteed to host a Super Regional and avoid one of the other best teams. If you are 9th you could get put in a region with the #1 team. Baseball is different that they try to group teams together by location to save on travel.
Lsu Florida tied at 1 in the 9th
Florida had 2 guys on with no outs in the 8th, hit a double to tie it and had runners caught out at 3rd then 2nd to kill the rally.
His brother and HS head coach are now at U of H. He mentioned wanting early playing time so I'm sure that had something to do with it. He could have had his pick of schools across the country that would provide more exposure than Houston
Interesting
@Joseph_Duarte: BREAKING | Houston picks up commitment from 5* DT Ed Oliver of Westfield, No. 2 prospect in state of Texas. Huge pickup for Tom Herman
Ags get the day off tomorrow and will play the winner of Vandy/Alabama on Saturday in a single elimination semi final.
The SEC tourney is a little different since they take 12 teams and try not to play a whole ton of games. Top 4 seeds get a bye. 1st round is single elimination, 2nd and 3rd is double elimination, semis and finals are single.
