    NO UIL high school should be allowed to recruit period!

    That is or was the point of the UIL rules. To keep us all uniform in our rules.

    The problem is DEC's in some districts(not just DFW), coaches and parents who don't agree with UIL, instead staying in their lane, will just bend/break the rules and lie to benefit "the kids" aka themselves. 

     

    And now some/many people think that lying and cheating should be the normal thing to do just because you don't like how it is. 

     

    If you don't like the UIL rules, go to a school that has those rules you do like.

     

    Another big problem is UIL either can't or won't enforce their own rules with certain schools and districts. 

    FF is only doing what they were allowed to do.

    The same violator on the QB also had a way late hit out of bounds he was flagged for earlier on our RB. 

    Your so called dirty play from the safety was a hard physical hit between the whistles... your QB should not have thrown the crossing route with the safety there. 

    Absolutely NOTHING validates the hit on the QB by the Silsbee kid....that was equivalent to the sucker punch on the poor LCM kid in the basketball game. You can not justify it....period 

     

    This is one of the many things wrong with some kids today, they think they have a reason to retaliate over the wrong things. How about repeat that over and over....and how it lead to losing games in a great rivalry.

     

     

    And the irony of saying he needs thick skin is lost on the fact it took thicker skin to listen to the stupid people(who would rather play a game than ensure the rhetoric going on did not turn into something more) drag the man's name through the dirt....over and over again. 

     

    Our community has members who will do more than just talk(see the basketball game results), so why risk it?? 

    NO ONE in Jasper was dodging Silsbee....Just letting it cool over.

    Jasper and Silsbee has had issues before, but kept the rivalry going.

    And, why stop playing Silsbee in all sports? Allow the other sport coaches to schedule who they want.

    Because the "issues" DID spill into the other sports........ sheeze

    The other sports coaches don't want to walk out of the locker room to find out that our boys aren't just about talking noise in a safe place behind twitter..... or taking cheap shots behind plays. All of which is stupid. Kids need to just play. Has-beens just need to enjoy the rivalry. 

     

     

    SAFETY and caution were taken in consideration of BOTH sides.

    I know "issues" make for good "news" stories, but it just wasn't worth it turning into something more.

    This horse died, and been dead. Let him RIP
