Pretty sure at least half of the starters for Kountze are freshman. One freshman that is already in double digit homeruns for the year....They may go through some growing pains this season But  This team is gonna be crazy good over the next few years.

I was just wondering how is a athlete nominated for this award? Does their coach have to nominate then they have a committee who decides by stats? Again just wondering...for future reference!

I'm not sure what "the way it used to be" means.  I grew up here and I didn't make this team in '89! But the news reporters where at a lot of my games, there was just a lot of talent to pick 11 players from.  I know for a fact some of these players definitely were not not the coaches favorites!

These guys have a tough job picking these teams. You have to try to be fair and put kids from different classifications on it. Obviously there are several very talented players who got left off the team. There are probably players who are better than some listed on here, but it is tough to do. Congrats to those who made it.

Bob Hope is your non typical 3A program and we received this award this year for soccer, so it might be branching out more.
