[/quote] Bolton and Soisson are the speedsters this season [/quote] That speed can sure get the other teams out of their game plan.  It was awesome what speed did for Jasper in the 2007 state tournament.  About 20 stolen bases in two games.  Those other teams didn't know what hit them.  They were turning walks and singles into the equivalent of doubles and triples.

[/quote] almost every kid pitches some in little league it seems to me.  I will rephrase.  Every year it seems that Coach Mixon successfully brings someone in to pitch that had not been a pitcher on Mixon's varsity high school team.

Jasper had best take EVERY district team seriously.  And I am sure they will.  This talk about KV being a lesser program is nonsense.  Thinking like that will get you beaten. But yes, Jasper's baseball tradition goes back a long way.  Much longer than any thirty years.  Jasper was playing baseball very well back in the fifties and sixties.  Check out the state tournament records if you doubt this.  But true, that does not win games THIS year.  The players they have this year are winning those games.

Lorena won by something like 78 to 64 or so.  Don't remember the exact final score. Lorena led the entire game.  Opened up a big lead right at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.  Jasper narrowed the margin some at the end.  Tonight Lorena was clearly the dominant shooting team.  Jasper went through some long periods where their shots just would not fall.

Congratulations Dogs!  Bring on Lorena!

If the athletes on the basketball team are anything like on their football team ..............  ?? Does Gilbert play basketball?
