You never like to have years like this one, but it is not the end of the line. In 1985 Jasper went 4-5 which at the time was considered very poor for them. Heck, they even lost to Lumberton that year. Some folks around Jasper were saying that never again would Jasper have great teams. That the talent had all graduated. All they did in 1986 was rebound and hand WOS its very first 4a loss, and make it all the way to QF, losing a close rematch game to WOS. WOS went on to win its first state championship. I predict that Jasper will rebound next year with a vengeance. :twisted:

I go back a lot further than you apparently, and trust me, they have been lower. Much lower. And they WILL be back! You can count on that.

Lots of turnovers for one thing. I think Jasper intercepted at least 5 HF passes. The amazing thing to me is how HF kept it close.

I agree! The two are not even related. But I do like the idea of scheduling someone tough. The exes don't want to come watch their old team beat up on some patsy. After all, they are only exes, not stuped. 8)

Jasper 14-13, both Jasper scores on long drives. They are playing a new Soph QB tonight and he seems to be making a HUGE difference.

Yeh, only TWO district games have been played, and NOT one single team has been mathmatically eliminated. But, I guess they are assuming that Jasper and HJ have already locked up first and second place :wink: :!:
