  1. A lot of scoring to have so much time left! Must be a lot of incomplete passes?
  2. Hey, I never doubted Livingston after I saw them man-handle Jasper.
  3. Silsbee - Newton 20-20 after blocked extra point.
  4. It could be either. But I guarantee that Newton hits!
  5. Newton seems to have a knack of causing the t/o's
  6. for sure, somebody's going to be wrong. :?
  7. Another homer pick. Of course, those are the guys I saw. But I bet you WOS and PNG guys remember Ben Bronson, QB at Jasper in the late 80's, early 90's. Paraphrasing a quote from Coach Hooks. You spend a day preparing to play the Jasper team, and the rest of the week trying to figure out a way to contain Bronson. I only saw him play once, against PNG. Once, I saw him surrouded in the backfield, with no blockers, by 3 PNG guys. Bronson retreated, circled the field, and in a instant seemed to be standing some 30 yards away from anyone, still searching for a receiver downfield. Then he let it zip into the end zone for a good 40-50 yard pass in the air for a TD. I think in his 3 years at QB he either ran or passed for way over half of the Jasper scores. Any of you guys from other teams remember him?
  8. Gilbert has the right to change his mind. Either way, and several times. For that reason I wish this had never been posted unless he actually enrolls in school at Jasper. THEN it would be solid information.
  9. If Moye returns, and I emphasize IF, the coaches will find a place for EVERYBODY to play. It is not like Jasper is a 5a team with 5 strings of players. But until I hear it confirmed that he is actually enrolled at Jasper, and playing football, I will consider this all as mere speculation.
  10. You can check this link for their sizes. But, of course, there will be a lot more deciding the game other than the weights listed on a program. [Hidden Content] I have seen Livingston, I have not seen Vidor. So I have no clue how the game will come out. I will only say that Livingston is a solid team, so expect a competitive game. Livingston beat C. E. King last week, who purportedly was the pick to win their district.
  11. Certainly one of the largest lines I have seen in several years.
  12. and ditto for your pardner in crime.
  13. Good luck Vidor. What you will be seeing is one of the taller, heavier, quicker OL and DL lines you may be seeing this year. One 6-6 guy, some around 6-4, and several around 6-2 or so. Absolutely not a fat one in the whole bunch. And they are not too slow either. Good luck again, they should be a good test for you.
  14. I think he played in four games last year, so has to sit out the first four weeks this year. There have only been 3 games/weeks played. But I could be wrong.
