  1. I think Jasper and WOS are 2-2 this year? If so, this will be the all important tie breaker. Way to go Dogs!
  2. I did not get to see Finley play so I will have to take your word for it. I am surprised not to see this thread filled with Diboll posts about how they are going to whup up on the little Dogs from Jasper. Tonight we will see. I hope you are right on your prediction.
  3. No prediction from me. I don't know anything about Diboll's team this year, but they did go to the state tournament last year. I expect that Diboll will be expecting to pick up a fairly easy playoff victory over the Jasper Dogs. Jasper at 15-15 for the year is not going to put a scare into very many teams.
  4. Those Silsbee Tigers seem to always find a way to win when it counts. Playing Silsbee twice should give Jasper some good experience for the playoffs. Maybe the third time will be the charm for Jasper.
  5. Thank you for the encouragement. And good luck to the Silsbee Tigers in the playoffs!
  6. Yeah, KV should be no problem for you. I was concerned about Buna for you.
  7. Jasper led most of the first quarter, giving up the lead by a point at the buzzer. For the next two quarters Coldspring opened up some leads but Jasper always brought it back close. Then beginning the fourth quarter Coldspring went on a shooting spree where everything they put up seemed to go in, and Jasper simply was not able to match their pace. Coldspring has a very good team. I am surprised that they have not gotten more recognition.
  8. I say that Tuesday night's game against Coldsprings is Jasper's game of the year. They need a win there at Coldsprings to clinch a playoff spot. If Jasper wins this one, then an opportunity to beat Silsbee in Jasper's gym will just be icing on the cake.
  9. Congratulations Silsbee Tigers on the win. You pulled it out, but as I believed in my gut, the Dogs were much tougher than I think most Silsbee fans were anticipating. In the end however, the Tigers proved to still be champions. Next matchup, in Jasper's gym.
  10. AggiesAreWe, thank you for the player details. I understand why I had seen those comments about your team height. Yes, the Dogs will have their hands full tomorrow night!
  11. For those of us who have not seen Silsbee play, what are the heights of Silsbee's taller players? I have read references, but no specifics. Just curious. Jasper limps along with only one semi-tall guy at 6-5. Just guessing, the remainder appear to be more in the 6-0 to 6-2 range. Of course, some are much shorter than 6-0.
  12. I think the final was Jasper 87, Shepherd 68. The Dogs can be tough when they get to rolling.
  13. This game was at Jasper. Shepherd will be ready next time at home.
  14. What I enjoyed seeing was how he rained in those threes from way out. I do believe he can do ANYTHING! Remember that one handed catch in the end zone?
  15. Well, one thing for sure, you won't be talking about how freakin tall the Jasper players are. They are just little guys trying to keep up with the big guys.
