  1. Congrats once more to PAM !!!!! But personally, I would hate to be lining up with North Shore somewhere around "Next Friday" or the week after. Also, be carefull PAM, and don't take anyone lightly !!!!!
  2. IMO, some change is good, and then some change is necessary, which may not end up being good. When you look at the list of schools Jasper Dawg put out there in an earlier post, there are an absolutely unbelievable amount of SETX traditions that were lost forever. Yes, one or two new ones may have been created, but in this case the losses outweigh the gains. Once again IMO !!!! Here again, we are talking about TJ, Lincoln, and SFA. Memorial has a new school, and a bevy of potential athletes that could form a dynasty that might produce a great tradition. As of yet, I do see anything comparable to a TJ or Lincoln, which would produce a traditional game with the likes of a TJ/PNG or a TJ/Lincoln. Check the ticket sales, they do not lie!!!! I know where you are coming from Goat, and I do wish MHS well, but at this time, "IT JUST AIN'T THE SAME". What I wouldn't pay to hear the bands and teams playin just one more time at a TJ/PNG or TJ/Lincoln game.
  3. Nothing is wrong with MHS Goat, most of the people posting are just remembering the nostalgic "Big Game Atmospheres" of a TJ vs. PNG, TJ vs.Lincoln, or a PNG vs. Lincoln game. These games consistantly drew standing room crowds of 15,000 or more each year. To a lot of us, there was nothing like it.
  4. Totally agree CHEERMOM4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was nothing like hearing those fight songs right before the Jackets and the Indians came onto the field.
  5. Standing room, overflow crowds were the rule for any TJ vs. PNG football game. I don't think I ever enjoyed high school football as much I did in that era.
  6. I see Newton winning, but not by big numbers.
  7. Yes, Trinity 14 Warren 12 was the final !!!!! A couple of big turnovers did the Warriors in, although they were driving when the clock ran out, somewhere near the Trinity 20. Timeouts in the 4th quarter are like gold, and the Warriors were out of them.
  8. WOW !!!! Not surprising that Evadale won, but I sure didn't expect those numbers.
  9. Tenaha wins, but I don't predict a blowout. HD will step up and battle !!!! Tenaha 21 HD 12
  10. Deweyville prevails in a close one !!! Deweyville 24 Evadale 21
  11. Warren wins again this week !!!! Warren 20 Trinity 14
  12. 31, Your post is both truthful and very dynamic in the content, and touched on all "Bases" of what competitive, real world Softball is all about. I hope all of the readers of this post take a good look at the ending question. It says it all !!!!
  13. FIVE minutes before gametime, and nerviously watching the parking lot for the player to make NINE !!!!!!
  14. Congratulations on an absolutely outstanding coaching career !!!!!!!!! It was a pleasure to watch your very, very, well prepared teams take the floor !!!!!!!!!
  15. Congratulations Kelly !!!!! All of your hard work paid off, and I am extremely proud of you, and happy for you and your parents.
