what is our local beaumont chapter's stand on this issue? Wont be good if coaches have to call their own games
-
Are those really the uniforms they will be wearing??

Good thing I am not the President of the STJFL, I would kick both towns out of the League!
so punish the children for the mistakes of idiot "adults" ??? Be assured that BC and Lumberton are not the only towns with idiots like this running a youth team of any sport.
-
no doubt the best hitter in the game. Anyone know if he is still club controlled or has he already qualified for FA ???
-
: : : : : :'( :'( :'( :'(
Sigh! all this over a 7-9 year old football game? What happened to letting the kids have fun and learn a little something about the game? This kind of thing is happening way too much in youth sports. Not just football, it happens in all of them. Maybe we should take the ADULTS out of youth sports and let the KIDS play.

Was always a favorite of mine as well. Just hope they can get it as big as it was back then.

He may be the "worst defensive" shortstop in the league, but i still wouldn't hesitate to insert him into my line up.
Oh by the way, Robert Horry has like 6-7 rings, does that mean you'd take him on your team over Elton Brand, Chris Bosh, or Amare Stoudemire? Ill stop there.
Just out of curiosity, who are those people you mentioned?

Did you know the first home run hit in MLB history was by Ezra Sutton of the Cleveland Forest Citys on May 8, 1871 against the Chicago White Stockings in the National Association. Sutton hit a second home run in the game to be the player to hit the first and second home runs in MLB history.
To go with that the White Stockings later became known as those Lovable Losers from Chicago

The umpire behind the plate is very inconsistant!
Rhino if im not mistaken that was Jeff Kellogg behind the dish. Next to C.B. hes my least favorite umpire. Always inconsistant. He flat gave Burrell a walk in one of his atbats, dont remember what inning but Kazmire painted to fastballs at the knees both called balls. That guy is terrible
-
Hmmmm, im predicting that the 6 teams will play each team twice, with the 3 best records advancing to the playoffs ;D
-
Whats everyones prediction? Atlanta, St. Louis?? or by a fluke Houston?? ???
I personaly think Atlanta
-
You could offer him a contract without a no trade in it but guranteed he would not sign it. I think that may be a standard on every Boras clients' contracts. And rest assured he will get as much money up front plus the incentives I cant stand that guy! But regardless I dont think LA has much of a choice. With little or no offensive production without him, they have to have that run producer.

Did you know?
That Don Larsen, the only man to throw a perfect game in a World Series game, played for nine different teams, and had a career record of only 81-91.
yes i did
-
Didn't get to see the game, but did watch the highlights. Was that the old tripple option play that i saw the Rays use for their 4th run? Never thought i would see that executed at the Big League level
-
But he is still probably the best right handed hitter in baseball. So how much would you sign him for?
Second best forgetting one Albert Pujols. But if I were the Dodgers I would fork out the cash for him, but not on any extended terms. Maybe 3 years at the max.

I dont see where it would benifit a player as young as 5 and 6 years old to play up a division. Im thinking the rule change was made with the older divisions in mind. Like a 14 yr old playing at the 16 17 year old division. Dont push your kids to grow up too fast

For those of you tired of recordings.... here are some numbers for the regional FEMA offices for texas/louisianna...
The guy I talked to several minutes ago knows what is going on... they will try and direct you to the website/hotline, but be persistant and your questions will be answered...
Telephone Numbers:
Main Number: 1 (940) 898-5399
Congressional Inquiries: 1 (940) 898-5104
Media Inquiries: 1 (940) 898-5104
called the main number, the guy who answered flatly refused to answer questions and referred me to a 800#. I called this number only to find that it is no longer working
-
is anyone else having problems getting fema to pony up for their hotel bill? ??? > >
-
BTW Buc you also cant spell either lol Im pretty sure this is how you spell YA'LL!! What are they teaching over there in E-WHO??
actually "Y'all" is a losely accepted southern contraction for the two words you and all. therefore it should be spelt.. Y'all and not ya'll. ;D
-
and i heard that Coach might move catcher to pitch, and Parsons to catch. now what chance do you think we have with a left-handed catcher? :
isnt a left handed catcher against UIL rules?? ;D
-
Ban the curveball and other breaking balls until the kids reach 13-14. Let their bodies develop enough to stand up the the strain of throwing such pitches. If you want an off-speed pitch a simple palm ball change up at the younger levels is just as effective if not more effective. That and proper rest can help with these injury rates.

I don't have any problem with the slide, it was a good hard play. He could have come in shoulder down and flattened him . It was good to see a catcher not afraid to try and cover the dish to prevent the score, rather than side step and just allow the run to score. Good play on both sides. No apology needed

The Rangers are still in the pennant race for at least another week or so, too!!!
i nearly fell out of my chair laughing at this. thanks i needed that

sure you dont have one...... yet I agree though, Coach is doing a great job over there in WOS and has the program moving in the right direction again. Good luck to the stangs and all the other local teams in SETX.
