I'm taking jasper.. they have beat west orange both games this year two out of there three losses.. should be a good series tho..

We lost due to pitching people who never pitched before just finding spots don't get it twisted. With that being said i'm taking silsbee in the sweep

The camera in WOS dugout... Flashing all night!!  Uncalled for, especially when we are at bat! Rude and disrespectful! They asked you to stop over the intercom! Thanks

Technically it would be the 4th championship game in a row. But who's counting?

I agree that they're going to be tough. Really tough. There's a lot of experience on that squad. If you think about it, in the last three years, BC seniors (3 year starters) played 33 games... 29 regular and 4 playoff games. WOS's senior class played in 48.... with a lot of games against way better competition than we faced. There are still a lot of kids on that squad that have a lot more experience than other kids their age. Great coaching, too.

I just feel like that the group that is moving on was very, very special. I don't expect them to repeat again this year.

I can also admit that I said the same thing two years ago after their SC loss and JD was about their only returning starter. I've been wrong before.

+1 we may not shut every time out or score numerous amount of points as this past year but we'll most definitely win.

I agree with hotrod that silsbee is playing with a chip and I believe here at home it will be a different ball game. Wos played solid last time while silsbee made several errors that cost some runs and still lost by 1. It will be a good game but I believe silsbee comes out on top.

Don't forget WOS also made several errors especially when silsbee scored them 4 runs in one inning. with 2 outs , dallas struck out a batter to end the inning but due to a passed ball that runner was able to advance leading to the silsbee scoring rally. but i expect a dog fight again.

    1.  Bridge City

    2.  Silsbee

    3. Navasota

    4.  Huffman

    5.  LiCk 'eM

    6.  Cleveland

Obvious homer pick, but BC will really need some kids to step up and replace a good senior class if they hope to compete for a DC in 2017.  Silsbee will be good, and probably compete for the DC despite losing Tyler and Jones.  I expect Huffman to return to the postseason, and expect Navasota to improve slightly over last year.  I think Cleveland and LiCk 'eM both miss the postseason.  The top four are picked honestly in no particular order.  You could see any of the teams land anywhere in the top four.

It's crazy the difference a year can make.  Last year you could look at this district and figure it to be one of the toughest to advance to the playoffs in... 5 of the 6 teams would likely move on in most other districts.  This year doesn't seem like the district will be as tough across the board.

This may be a long shot but i got LCM and Silsbee battling it out for the D.C. With a strong Winters and Douglas and Katon Brown at WR. If they stay in the spread they can shock some people.

I saw Damien Bush, young Bush's dad, play for Silsbee in 95.   When and how he got to town I don't know.  I love my hometown of Silsbee, but I've been living in H Town for a minute, so I ain't up on the daily details.  But if young Bush's dad was in Silsbee in 95, shoot homeboy is from Silsbee.  People in small country towns have long memories though.  I don't remember Willie Jones II at all.  I think someone said he played on the same team as Bush Sr.

That's how that thing goes.  Silsbee & other small towns have been feeding dna, players etc., to Beaumont, Houston, and even Dallas Austin, and San Antonio for many years.  Have all the players in WOS been born & raised in the city limits?  I doubt it., but that's 'nother whole Oprah Winfrey special.  No  I am not implying someone is cheating.  Moving around to a certain extent is basic human nature.

FYI, the team we won it with literally all been together since 5. If anything we lost people. But i agree with everything you've said.

I wasn't going to bring this up but since we have gotten this far, I think I will. A woman from Paris who sat close to me during the Argyle- Center game, told me after the Paris-Argyle game that she was standing behind the Argyle bench before the Center game when a ref came up to the Argyle coach and told him not to worry, the refs had this. I have no reason to believe this woman would not be telling the truth about this. Why would she make something like that up? Now you read between the lines oldschool2.

The refs don't stop another team from scoring baskets at all. Nor do they make the baskets go in. Smh. This is ridiculous

  8. I don't think silsbee lost a beat when Devon was taken out. In my honest opinion i think it made them stronger. Yeah Devon is taller, and will get to the basket easier, but Bush is not far behind him. Bush gets to the hole and WILL finish. He also brings something to the table that Devon don't, he'll pull the 3 and will make it. Seeing him play us that 2nd time really opened my eyes on him. The kid really is something special.

  9. Jarron Morris DB WOS just received his 1st offer from Mcnesse St and will be looking to take multiple visits throughout the month. Congrats to this young man. Known him since he was in middle school and knew he'd be something special. Never gave up a TD in his 2 years on varsity playing 32 games.
