There gud. But not unbeatable. Silsbee will give them all they can handle! ! Believe this or not not Silsbee is a faster team.i didn't say better. I said faster which will cause Carthage problem. It's all abt who wins the line of scrimmage. And yes I've seen them both play.
Everyone is beatable but Carthage just does not have any glaring weakness to exploit. Kilgore and Henderson are really good football teams and Carthage woodshedded both of them. Maybe Silsbee can get it done...but it will not be easy.

No history between these two as far as I know. Tell me about the Tigers.

Me and a buddy were at that game...and left in the middle of the 4th qtr. There was more than one game played that day so we had already been in the stadium for probably 6 hours. JT had it under control so we decided it was time to head home. We were listening to scores on the radio coming down I-20 and when the announcer gave the 48-44 final I told my friend "Must be a mistake". Moral of that story is...never leave early lol.

Silsbee probably wins but I expect the Riders to give them a competitive game.

Strange game. LCM actually moved the ball pretty well for a team that got shut out. In the first half they had 11 first downs and the radio guys said they had two drives during the game that were over 6 minutes...they just could not finish. Also, Kilgores offense is really hard to prepare for.
-
Radio guys said Kilgore only ran 14 offensive plays in the first half.
-
LCM has 10-11 first downs in the first half so they are moving the ball. Just cant generate any points.

It's almost indefensable when we run it cleanly. Henderson's defense has been very good this year against everyone not named Carthage or Kilgore. We played clean against Hendo and the Lions got caught stunting the wrong way a few too many times.
The last two regular seasons Henderson is 17-3...and 2 of those 3 have been to Kilgore. Despite the misery Buddy has dished on us watching him run that offense is a thing of beauty. Dont see too many hs qb's that will make a pitch off the option at full speed 10 yards downfield.

The number 1 thing that I see we have not seen that style of offense. I hope we can come up with some type scheme or will be a long night
Yeah...it is hard to prepare for the option because you just dont see it much anymore. The scout team might be able to replicate the plays in practice but can not replicate the speed.

Offensively, we can go. We average around 370 rushing, 60 passing, and 40 ppg. Sr. QB Buddy Jackson makes it all go. He's not very big, but he is a 4.44 guy who doesn't miss many reads and is a pretty good passer. Leading rusher is TB Briant Mumphrey.... he averages about 10 ypc. Our top receiver is Jonathan Shepperd... 6'3" - 196#, 10.6-100 (committed to Oklahoma State). Our O-line is not huge, but they are very good.
I am sooooo glad Buddy Jackson is FINALLY a senior lol.
All kidding aside he is GREAT at running Kilgores offense and if LCM can not come up with some way of containing him it will be a long night for the Bears.

Those stats sure dont look like LCM should have lost by 10.

Kilgores spread/option offense is very difficult to defend and their QB is a 3 year starter that runs it to perfection. Kilgore defense is pretty average. Kilgore has been prone to turn the ball over. LCM will put up some points but it will not be enough. Kilgore wins something like 45-24.

Looks like Silsbee is really coming on down the stretch. The Tigers are the likely #2 seed out of district 10?
-
9-4A-1 is starting to take shape. Barring an upset it looks like................
1- Carthage
2- Kilgore
3- Henderson
4- Bullard
How about 10-4A-1?

Just an FYI...Henderson held Ingram to 63 yards on 17 carries...and half of that total came on one run in the first qtr. Didn't help. Carthage QB and receivers lit us up.
