[/quote]I did not get my feelings hurt....I am not associated with either team. IMO..When the losing team does not wish to stop thw clock with under a minute to play the winning team should not try to tack on another score unless it is the tiebreaker to get his team in the playoffs or for playoff seeding. This is JMO and these things use to be done under the guidelines of sportsmanship.I guess times have changed.

From the stands the tackle looked pretty routine..You just never know in football.Hoping that it is just a sprain and he can get back out for his senior year. He will be missed on the offensive side of the ball.

I  saw this happen today in a game at Vidor.The score was 12 to 0 with under a minute to play.The losing team was not using timeouts to try and get the ball back but the winning team used all 3 of theirs to try and score again.Since the tie breaker for the playoffs is points allowed I saw no need for this with 8 year olds.JMO

I see alot of people being a little tuff on Raines but, Vidors secondary is the real deal IMO.Both corners and the safeties run real well. I thought he did a good job of not forcing throws that could have turned into Vidor touchdowns.

[/quote]GoDogs27, I think you will be surprised when you see Vidors secondary play.Secondary and Linebacker play has been the strenth of our defense.While Raines is a good player I do not see our secondary getting burnt to often.We have more speed at these positions than we have had in a long time.I think this will be a very physical and close game but, IMO your 31 to 7 prediction is way off. We will see in two weeks. 8)

[/quote]We play football in Southeast Texas where the weather can change at any moment.Not being able to take a snap from under center is not an excuse......Its poor preparation on the part B.C..Both teams had to play on the same field and Vidor had more turnovers than the Cards and still won.You got out played.

Texas High will be fine....They have some outstanding players. #6 the reciever is a beast!!! Linebackers were very good.I hope the running back that got injured is okay as well....He was a player!!!

Vidor has some pretty good team speed themselves this year. Should be a good game.

Just got home from the game.....Props to the Vidor O-line..They were out weighed by Texas High by 50 pounds per man and flat out got after them.D-line as well but did a great job stuffing the Texas High run for the most part. Great all around team effort.

          I thought it had some interesting info.I was really surprised to see that Vidor and PNG were the top 2 money makers in football. Png 69,312.03$..Vidor 18,088.74$. Ozen and Central were the biggest losers with 93,282 for Ozen and 77,509 for Central. Was also surprised that West Brook was the only Beaumont school in the top 5 in ticket revenue. The top 5 were PNG,Ned,WB,Vidor,& Lcm in that order.
