2.
I personally enjoyed watching the slot t last night. Even though our guys were slower and smaller the offense gave us a chance to win. Think about this...West Brook only put up 26 on Ozen. I think we need to give our boys and our o line  some credit. I just love watching our boys beat a more athletic team. Give our backs some credit too.
Its a great offense for us....But being realistic if we were to throw it 8 to 10 times a game I think our chances of winning go up tremendously.Every time we do pass the deep reciever is open 80% of the time and we dump it off short 80% of the time. Me personnaly,I hate the roll out...I would rather see him go through his fakes and drop straight back and throw but thats just me. I watch and they coach.
 3.
Blake Tinkle #24 Vidor
Tinkle is a good player, but some Pirate fans would argue the sophmore linebacker is our best.Seems like hes in on every tackle.Hes gonna be a good one

VIDOR UNDEFEATED AT FOR OVER A YEAR NOW!! we have a 2010 playoff bound team. and i love how most people outside of vidor (and a few jerks inside vidor) said we would not win a single game. they said "who will vidor beat?" well we beat your expectations!!! hahaha i love it. go vidor keep goin strong. i was at the game last night, and despite a few injuries to key players, including Dozier, we still overcame a tough ozen team. good luck pirates i am in, and always will be no matter how many naysayers we have, full support till we are through with the playoffs.
Nice come from behind win last night for sure, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, the meat of the schedule is coming up, LCM, Central, PNG and Livingston.  Could easily be looking  at all 4 20-4A playoff representatives right there.
Good post Tim...We will have to atleast split with these 4.Gonna be tough! We will see what we are made of for sure.
 5.
#5 Josh Richards Vidor 200+ Rushing 2nd half of Ozen game... I think he punched it in 2 or 3 times..... Came in as sub after 1st string RB went down to injury... as you can tell filled in quiet well....
Should get some player of the week consideration IMO...These were in 1/2 of football..He was impressive. Has some size and pretty good speed.
 6.
Livingston 10 first downs  274 total yards, Ned 17 first downs 291 total yards. The difference is 4 turnovers by Ned.
When two teams are evenly matched turnovers can be a killer.
 7. Anyone got the stats??? I didnt see them in the paper.
 8.
Vidor wins 28-24.....maybe speaking with my heart but Vidor is dangerous....and LCM is really good.
I agree that they can be dangerous but they have to be more consistant from week to week
 9.
I agree but the other judges made the call when he didn't
Yes they did.I just dont see how he could not call holding on the one the head referee had to call it was right in front of him..Ozens reciever tackled our cornerback. The back judge and head referee both threw flags from 25 yards away.
 10.
How about that officiating crew? That was one of the best officiated games i have seen in a while.
The crew was good except for the line judge on our side.JMO
 11.
Yeah, they did.  Hope he's back next week, as well as Clark and Smallwood.   Richard did great coming in like he did.   Reagan Woodside did well with the placekicking and was glad to see the coaches let Jeanise kick deep in the 4th qtr.  Was giving the Panthers too good of field position with the pooch kicks.
I agree on the pooch kick. If you dont get it high enough its returnable so you might as well kick it deep. Jeanise has shown he can get it in the endzone.
 12.
#5 Josh Richard, stepped up big time when Clark and Smallwood got hurt.  Would like to see his stats.  Anybody know  Blake Tinkle' injury status?
Not sure on Tinkle but you could tell he was missed...Ozen started gashing us with the run as soon as he went out. Richard had to have had 150+ rushing in the second half.
 13. What a second half..... I almost stroked out at the game...Great job Pirates. Vidor found something midway through the 3rd with the inside trap play and ripped off big runs with it.
 14. There is a seafood place named shrimp boat Mannys thats good I hear
 15.
Man, you can't comprehend what you wrote yourself, yet you make fun of mine. Here is part of your quote from page 2......There is no way Nederland should have been able to line up in the wildcat and get 6-7 yard's a carry.... Sound familiar? You wrote it. Isn't it verbatim? What's the difference between saying 6-7 yards and being successful? That is successful. This is a public forum. People from all teams read and post on all kinds of topics. If you don't want Nederland people confronting you when you say stuff like ''no way'', then maybe you should just post on the PNG board.
Sickem Baddog sickem. ;D
 16.
Vidor hasn't seen this much speed yet this year Ozen 35 Vidor 10
Wrong on the speed my friend...Kville can run with anyone.
 17. Undisiplined in discribing a football team to me does not mean more blacks than whites...Hell you could call Vidor undisiplined and it would not hurt my feelings because its true right now..Busted plays, fumbles, penalties, blown coverages, and so on.We are doing all these and thats why were 1-4.         If your football team does the above your undisiplined in my opinion. With that said I think the young kids on our team are working very hard every week to correct these issues.
 18.
I saw things in the Vidor / Kirbyville game that said POTENTIAL...I believe Vidor just needs to get the right people in the right places settle down and Like Coach Alvarez tells the Wildcats we can't win them all unless we win this one...One game at a time... Vidor +7
Very true Kats...All the underclassmen we have are starting to make fewer and fewer mental mistakes and the secondary is getting better and better each week...Knock on wood we didn't have one blown coverage in the ned game.
 19.

I don't generally like to post on this, I just like to read others opinions. Unfortunately, I can't let some of the comments on this one go. I have been attending athletic events for about ten years where the Raiders competed against the LCM Bears, whether it be volleyball, basketball, football or soccer. I can say, from my experience, that LCM both wins and looses with no class. I don't understand it because I know some really great people whose kids attend school is that district and compete athletically. I have been at basketball and volleyball games where the parents have actually promoted the unbelieveable unsportsmanlike behavior of the student fans. I have even witnessed the LCM students and LHS students at the LHS gymnasium acting inappropriately. They are kids. The only difference in LHS and LCM is that I witnessed LHS's assistant superindent and athletic director put a stop to the LHS kids behavior immediately. I have never seen that from an LCM coach, whether it be football, volleyball, basketball or soccer.  Yes, we the Raiders got it handed to us Friday night. LCM played an awesome game. My only problem with the game was the chop blocking that had absolutely no other purpose than to take the LHS players out. I honestly can say that, even from my past experiences with LCM athletes and fans, I never expected, on this night, that from their players. Just unbelieveable to me, and maybe only me (I get that!)  I heard one of our defensive players say that he spent the night trying to protect his knees because it seemed their only purpose was to hit him in the knees. Do they actually coach their players to do that? Hey, LCM, in my opinion, has a great team, their guys don't have to play dirty - show some class, hold your heads high, do it like Reggie, and make the playoffs! You have the size and the talent - this could be your year! Good Luck Bears!
If the refs were not throwing flags on those blocks you speak of they must have been legal, as for class just take your whippin and move on the subs were in the game on the last score or two and sometimes ya win and sometimes ya lose.
I agree..When you get thumped like L-Town did some fans will find something to whine about. And its always the same things...Class or lack of,penalties, and so on.
 20.
WOW now this is classy  ::)
I dont think he meant to be. ;)
 21.

Could be a Train  ;D
Not in baseball.... probably not even in football :o
:o :o :o :o :o :o
 22.
not chopping,its called cutting
Which is completly legal...Vidor and Livingston cut block on every play running the offenses they run.
 23.
Nederland runs a fake punt on their own 28 yard line!  Can someone explain this to me??    ???
Its pretty easy to explain smitty. They hiked it to the up back and we tackled him. ;D
 24. I have to ask the question..Where was L-Towns offense in this game? LCM was giving up over 30 a game and L-Town got shut out. Iam not surprised tha LCM scored 45 because there offense has been rolling but for L-town to score 0. :o
 25.

Yep, left all 3 on the board.
It may have just been poor coaching/clock management, but from the stands what I saw was more troubling.  It looked to me like the coaches quit on the boys.  On both the 3rd and 4th down plays that ended Nederland's offensive night, there were potential pass interference penalties right along the Nederland sidelines.  I expected the Nederland coaches to be going nuts.  They weren't.  I'm sure they said something, but there was clearly no passion.  That, coupled with leaving the 3 TOs on the board, makes me concerned that the coaches gave up.  I hope that isn't what happened because the kids never gave up.
Hear we go,  potential pass penalties.  Number 11 on those passes was a sophmore.  Yes, we are young on defense also.  That was not "sophmore" coverage that was "varsity' coverage.  Had them stide for stide and shut down.  There was nothing to complain about.  Great game Q
I 2nd that on the coverage...This secondary is very young and has taken some lumps early in the season but they are getting better every week. The sophmore linebacker is playing lights out also.
